The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from train station. Its location at centre of old town made it typically accessible to most of the tourist spots and restaurants by walking. Since the weather was very hot we were gladly paying additional for upgrade to a suite on top floor which has air-con. It was a large beautiful room with sky windows. The first night there was a thunderstorm we simply watched the heavy rains mixed with hailstones pounding on the sky windows. Quite an experience. All staff at reception were very friendly and helpful and the room was made and cleaned in time. Of course the stay won't be complete without having fondue at the hotel's famous Swiss Chuchi restaurant. We shall return.

Perfect location in the old town of Zurich. Only 5 minutes walk from railway stadion. Rooms decorated with pictures from the town painted on the walls. Very interesting. Delicious breakfast. Centrally located, but very quiet in the rooms. I recommend both for bussines and leasure.

Small hotel at a great location with a tram stop nearby. Very nice and clean room with minibar including free of charge soft-drinks. Great breakfast. The connection to the WiFi was however relatively poor. Highly recommendable for any kind of trip!

Dear Christoffer
Thank you for taking your time to write a comment. We really appreciate. Indeed, the basic WiFi connection is, depending on the amount of guests using it at once, sometimes a bit slow - we know it and are working to improve.
For the moment we are offering high speed internet at a special charge.
Hope to welcome ou again at the heart of Zurich's Old Town
Sincerely, Magdalena Krol, Sales Manager

Although the hotel provides in its mini bar free bottled water (both sparkling and still) and sodas to its guests it doesn’t make up for its lack of air conditioning which is a negative mainly because it forces you to open your room window(s) thus bringing in the outside street noise of which there is plenty. Even from our room at the back of the hotel overlooking a small square we could hear the sound of late night diners, bar patrons and one night a couple having a screaming fight that seemed to be right outside our window. Breakfast is in their in-house restaurant the famous Chuchi. It was nothing different from most European hotels and self- service. Only exception was if you wanted coffee and the wait staff was very slow in getting it to you. So much so that my husband resorted to try to work the coffee machine himself only to be scolded by the staff that they would get it to him. We noted that the restaurant was not even one third full at that time, the buffet tables were full, and they had three staff in the restaurant. In contrast the hotel’s Front Desk staff were wonderful. We had a mix up at check-in that was actually my fault and they quickly fixed things for us without any fuss. They were also very friendly; greeting us each time we came in and out of the hotel and informative with bar and restaurant recommendations. Location of the hotel was great in the “old town”. Walk along the river and you will find lots of interesting shops, cafes and sites in this area (there are two large churches that were nice) and a short walk from there to the “new town” which was very modern. Train station is an easy 10mins walk to the hotel even with luggage. From station go left crossing small bridge over river keeping left till you get to Rosengasse street, then left up a slight slope, hotel entrance at top of street on the right. You can also take Tram 4; stop is Rudolf Brun Brücke from here go straight till you get to Rosengasse St. about 2 mins. If you need more than bottled water and snacks there is a Coop full service grocery store 5mins from Hotel – walk towards the train station its to the left immediately after you cross the short bridge over the river.

Very good location, in the centre of zurich old town, within walking distance to almost everything. We were given a rather small room, but it turned out there was some problem with the T.V. set and since it was a holyday and there was no technician available, they gave us another, bigger room which we were satisfied with.
It turned out that the hotel restaurant specializes in fondue, which we enjoyed a lot (busy restaurant, so make reservations...)
Breakfast was good, staff friendly and helpful.

This hotel is by far the cutest and coziest one I’ve been to in a very long time. We were searching for a hotel in the old town and in walking distance to pretty much everything. We only had one night and wanted something convenient. We came by car and appreciated the parking house “Urania” nearby. If you park longer though, it can get pricey.
Everything we were looking for, we found at the Hotel Adler. And the good hotel rate we paid for this great location made our stay perfect.

The check-in went super quick in the friendly reception area. The elevator took us to the second floor where our room was located.
The first thing I noticed when we opened the door to our room was the pleasant smell of fresh cut wood. The room is small but clean, modern and cozy. The bed looked so inviting and proved to be more than comfortable.
The bathroom and the amenities were flawless. There’s free wi-fi and the mini bar with water and coke is complimentary.

The rooms don’t have air-con but even though it was very hot during our stay, the room had a good temperature. It does get noisy outside with open windows at night but that didn’t disturb us. If you closed the window, you hear nothing.
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent, just like everything else at Hotel Adler.
Breakfast is included in the room rate. It was displayed nicely and had a good verity.

Overall: Great price for value. I can’t wait to come back to Zurich to stay at this hotel again.

We stayed 3 nights and found the hotel perfect. It's got a great location and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or charming! Our room was small but lovely and clean with plenty of light and a great mural on one wall. There was complimentary water and soft drinks in the Eco fridge and plenty of plug points for once. The brekkie was great too! Would stay again in a heart beat!
