“Loved it!”
Reviewed 5 June 2011

Just got back home from a three night stay at this hotel.

As Zurich is very expensive, I was very happy to get a decent prepaid rate some weeks ahead of arrival.

We arrived very late (11pm), but got upgraded to a nice suite upon arrival. (We are Starwood platinum members).

The room was excellent laid out, with comfy beds and a big bathroom. As a light-sleeper (and light sensitive), I just LOVED the curtains with the velcro solution. Why doesn't all SPG hotel have those?? It was also very quiet, the windows had excellent sound proof.

The hotel felt very modern and fresh. One of the best Four Points I have ever stayed at - and better than most Sheratons too! As someone has mentioned here, I got a bit "W"-feeling from this hotel!

The location has it pros and cons. Its smack in the middle of a new shopping area, which I actually liked a lot. (Cafes etc. very close by for an early or late snack). Both tram and train very close - the ride to downtook took only minutes. However, if you like to walk to the main attractions, this hotel might not be your cup of tea. (That said, the 30 minute-ish walk along the river to downtown is kind of nice).

Didn't try the breakfast (too expensive IMO) - as mentioned, starbucks and a decent chocolatier next door. The hotel restaurant seemed pretty empty most of the time, but the bar looked like a trendy spot both night and day.

Friendly staff, very accomondation upon my requests.

Any room for improvements? Well, wireless in the room would have been nice, working with a cable is not very convinient. And the toiletries were not of the highest quality.

I highly recommend this hotel.

I just returned from a 6 nights stay at this wonderful hotel, I have been with my 4 years old son for a leisure trip.
The Location:

From Airport, around 20-30 minutes maximum, which is considered not far at all.

The hotel is infront of Tram Station and Tram No. 13, takes you to Downtown which is 7-10 minutes far. Very accessible and those who say that the hotel is out of city, this is not true.

The Rooms:

Very modern furniture, enough space for your luggage, separate shower and separate toilet, mini bar, and LCD TV, windows with limited view, but not very bad and Coffee and Tea facilities.
The bed is very comfortable and after a long day in the city or shopping, you just relax and sleep deeply.
There is AC in the room in case the weather is hot.
A blessing is the Free Internet in the room even if it is with a cable, but the speed is fast and perfect for a nice chat.

The Food:

I have tried the room service food once and it was good, though the price is high, in addition to Swiss Franc 10 for any room service order. But this is Zurich, one of the most expensive cities worldwide, specially in food and beverages.

The Restaurant:

Very clean, very modern, I have seen the variety of the breakfast buffet, but I haven't tried it, as it costs CHF 30 per person, and there is plenty of restaurants and cafes around the hotel, but if you want to pay the 30 Francs, go ahead and you will not regret it.

The Personel:

Very efficient and reliable, helpful so long as they can. And they helped me a lot in many issues. Which made my stay very nice.
I have to mention some names I have dealt with: Stefan and Lambert and Stephanie at the Reception.

To summarize:

This hotel is perfect in evrey way, whether for business or leisure, with children or solo traveller. You will not regret the money you pay for it but take into consideration that Zurich is not a cheap city at all, even if you choose another hotel.

There is a shopping mall few steps outside, with a Coop Supermarket and you can find evreything there. There are Banks, exchange money office... Nice boutiques.
Swiss Com shop at the 2nd floor, in case you need to buy a swiss sim card for your mobile at CHF 20.

A very nice cafe "Muller," next to the hotel, where you can have a nice coffee and sandwhich or cake for the breakfast, open from 8 am till 7:30 pm.

I would highly recommend this hotel, though the room price is high, but you will enjoy the stay and the location, but there is no view from the rooms, and even if you prefer downtown hotels, this one not to regret. ( Not recommended for smokers, as it is a non-smoking property).

Thanks to evreyone in the hotel who made my stay and my vacation a perfect one.
I will return again if I am in Zurich.

We (spouse and 2 dogs) stayed at the Sheraton Sihlcity in a corner Junior Suite. To the room: it was very spacious and modern with exceptionally large closets and a view over the Sihlcity shopping area. To the hotel: you can drive with your car under the Sihlcity shopping area straight under the hotel and they have their own private parking area - very convenient. The restaurant and bar offer good service, nice food and snacks. The building is well kept, simple and modern. The location is very good: you have shopping, restaurant and even a movie theatre right next door. Tram, bus and even train stations also right next door. Under 10 minutes you are on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich. The value for the money is very good. To the service: exceptionally friendly and helpful.
For those traveling with dog(s): we can recommend the Sheraton Sihl City - the hotel staff was very friendly towards the dogs. You can walk directly from behind the hotel to a recreation area called Brunau where there are many walking paths, woods, river access and many open fields where the dogs can run and play off leash.

The Sheraton Four Points is not central to the old part of Zurich, but with the city’s terrific public transportation that doesn’t matter. In fact, in many ways it is a plus. Guests can purchase 24-hour tram tickets at the front desk, which is very convenient, and the tram stop is just 2 minutes from the hotel.

The hotel was substantially better than we expected and the staff, especially Martina, could not have been nicer or more helpful. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed each day. The rooms are very modern, with a great shower and windows that open.

On the negative side, the gym located in the hotel, but not part of the hotel, is very expensive. Breakfast is not included in the hotel rate and is also very expensive but then Zurich is one of the most expensive cities in the world.

But, despite the high costs of just about everything, Zurich it is a great city, with terrific restaurants, natural beauty, interesting sights and is definitely worth a visit. The Four Points Sheraton is a good option if the five star hotels are out of your budget.

the hotel is relatively new, not dirty. however, the hotel's adverts that it has wifi plus internet access in the room is a lie. i am a biz traveler, and was relying onhaving internet accesss. disaster. i tried wifi on the ground level where supposedy available; i tried over 4 days at diff times of the day. it would take over 20 minutes each time to get to start to load a site, and still never loaded before i gave up (usually was just trying to get to yahoo email site). therefore, NO WIFI ACCESS available, even if the hotel internet page comes up. second, the hotel had stated there was access to internet in the rooms. If you use a MAC, they have NO AVAILABILITY for you., however.

i give this hotel a low rating because it is overall average, gives small servings of wine at the bar, serivce in bar was slow and generally ignorant, the hotel charges an extra CHF10 just to deliver food to your room, and, finally, because there is no internet access despite statements to the contrary (I hate businesses that 'bait and switch' just to get you in the door).

Zurich is a charming city especially the old town but you would not know it from sihlcity. This is effectively a shopping mall and whilst the room was spacious, the location was ordinary. The two highlights are the quick tram ride to the town and the restaurant rusterei. As a business hotel staff are not overly service oriented apart from manger daniel who was excellent. Very expensive and no value for money.

I've stayed at this hotel every time I've been to Zurich (on business).
The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms very clean. Free bottle of water, free internet and free local phone calls.
But the best feature - the one I look forward to the most after a long flight - is the fabulous shower. This is the best of any hotel I have ever stayed in. A large tile-covered room with volumes of hot water. SOOOOO good !!
The location is good too, right by lots of shops and eateries.
In short - I have only good things to say and absolutely no negatives.
