We came here tonight in anticipation for the Frühlingszwiebelbrot, an appetizer me and my fiance came to love in the States. After having been turned away thr night before, we made sure we were on time tonight.

Granted, we had quite a large order (6x). The same guy who turned us away the night before told us that we vould order a maximum of 2 appetizers. We asked if we could at least order 2 appetizers per person and he said no. We asked why and allge could do was insinsting that we could not have more than two.

To conclude, we felt extremely unwelcome, treated with arbitrary disinterest and will definitelynot come here again.

the restaurant is right next to the main railway station. you don't get much of a view but the location is practical. Service is prompt and friendly. the food is excellent and authentic. There is an interesting selection of various Asian foods. The menu has alot of photos of the dishes , which is helpful. The hard chairs/benches are not made for you to sit there for hours. It's a great place to have a quick lunch/dinner before heading back to work or to the cinema. I can recommend the Korean special Bibimbap.
alot of the clients there are Asian, which is always a good sign. If you want affordable and excellent Chinese food, without wanting to spend too much time in the restaurant, then this is the place to go.

Great food. Authentic Chinese. Was introduced to the restaurant by Chinese expats here in Zurich and a lot of Chinese people go here. They also serve the spiciest (HOT!!!) dish I've ever eaten; it's very tasty but pungently so and is swimming in a chili-based sauce. It's hard to finish 30% of it (unless you ask them to make it mild) because it's so hot,but then it's tasty so you keep at it until you're wasted (sweating, hot flushes, watery eyes) - just like cocaine. Addictive too. I'm Indian and accustomed to hot food but this is quite, awesome.
Apart from that, there are other great dishes on the menu. I like the Bibimbap and the crisp, fried shredded beef too. There's plenty of stuff that's good (except maybe their all-you-can eat lunch buffet, I don't think too highly of that).

The positives:

a) Great, awesome Chinese food. As good as the best Chinese (taste-wise) I've eaten in Hong Kong or NYC.

b) Moderately priced. Not cheap but not expensive (Zurich standards) by any means. CHF 30-50 per person.

c) Quite nice atmosphere. Simple, with long wooden tables/benches, mild decor.

d) Website has menu card and pics of dishes (with prices)

The negatives:

a) They do not announce holidays/days-off on the website. It can be annoying to go there to find it closed.

b) A bit of an ugly location but it's not a big deal.

c) You do need to wait at times and service can be rather slow. It's usually best to reserve beforehand.

d) The all-you-can-eat lunch they sometimes offer on weekdays is really Euro-chinese trash. (A-la-carte is the way to go at this joint).

This place is fantastic. I just left Zürich after living there for five years and in a town where the restaurant scene is very expensive and very lacking in authentic Asian cuisine, it is a blessed relief to have a reliable source of reasonably-priced, delicious Szechuan cooking. Staff are friendly and speak Chinese, German and English to varying degrees, and the menu is mostly in all three languages. The dry-fried green beans and shui zhu tofu are stand-outs if you are missing proper spicy Chinese food. Anyone who says this place is bad is either a.) ordering off the smaller menu with Thai and sweet-and-sour dishes for locals who don't know what Chinese food is, or b.) seriously lacking in taste buds. Yes, as others have noted, the food contains MSG (which is a normal part of Chinese cooking) and the staff's language skills could be better (however, in none of our many visits did we ever have any problem communicating with them and always found them to be polite and friendly). But you are getting Szechuan food that you wouldn't be disappointed with in Chengdu at a price that can't be beaten in Zürich, so really, what more can you ask?

Excellent food, very authentic Chinese!
Great atmosphere
Good prices
Damned arrogant service, owner thinks he is too good to be a waiter and is better than his clients even on a Saturday evening when the resaurant is 70% empty!!!
Nevertheless if it is food thay you care about dont miss this gem!
