Not good as overnight stay - too much poor dirt road for one evening's stay. In winter the new rooms are cold - small heater inadequate. Our request at the desk for an electric blanket for the 3rd person was unsuccessful since "there were none spare". A chance meeting with one of the cleaners, however, resulted in a brand new electric blanket delivered to our room.
Supper was OK, but the wine list very limited.

Myself and friends had a short stay at Lionsrock in April 2014 and enjoyed it thoroughly. All staff are to be commended for their friendly and hospitable manner they went about their day and their attitude toward guests. It is such a tragedy to watch the videos and see what cruelty is being delved out to such magnificent animals and continues to this day. Thanks so much to this wonderful organisation,"FOUR PAWS".. Someone has to stop this cruelty. I would recommend a visit to this wonderful place just to lie in your bed and hear the roars coming from across the way. The game drives are fantastic.

This is so wonderful! We regret to have booked for only one night. We have enjoyed every minute and will recommend Lion's Rock to everyone! The room was very spacy, clean and nice. Surroundings are beautiful. Good restaurant and staff. Loved the gamedrive and 'Four Paws".
There is also a swimmingpool. The location has a stunning view.

I came back from Lionsrock inspired to do more for these animals in captivity and in awful conditions world wide. If that just means visiting Lionsrock then that what I will do. what an amazing eye opener it was and my partner and I will definitely be back to see the lions and other big cats especially Koda.

A proper welcome greeting, introduction and goodbye would have been nice. Training needed here also by white lodge manager. Beautiful setting, overlooking the huge sanctuary enclosures and free roaming wildlife. Tea/coffee sachets in room not replenished although plain to see container empty. Not enough attention to detail by chalet maid.
