This is a great location for a dog-walk. There are signs asking dog owners to keep mutts under control during the nesting season, particularly as there are ground-nesting birds but as they allow cattle to stomp around everywhere it's hard to take this request seriously (maybe the cows are specially bred to avoid nests on the ground!).
I have also seen warnings and heard rumours about unsavory human activities but never seen anything untoward. Maybe such things have been stamped out! - along with the birds eggs!

What a beautiful place, open, quite, and and excellent place to just go and contemplate your navel. Really enjoyed my wander here.

We'd never looked at a Wisley Common during all our visits to the RHS gardens, but we swung by today. It's a charming woodland and heathland area and an SSSI, I understand. Popular for walkers and has lovely vistas. Well worth a visit, even though the A3 is a bit close.
