We dined at the Dial inn on fathers day June 15th.We had forgotten that everywhere was so busy,so we called in at the restaurant not expecting to get in.Nothing of the sort, the young man asked us to wait a couple of moments and hey presto,we were seated. We had an exceptional meal all the more enjoyable made by the son(George) and mother(i think)having the odd scirmish!(they were very busy!)I hope i dont sound critical because they were such nice people.Anyway if you are roundabout the area call in,you wont be disappointed.

So good we had to come back again. We came here for dinner on Tuesday, purely by chance . Luckily we got a table and chose from an impressive specials board, both had fish, the portions were generous and included vegetables. We were sorry not to have room for one of Mrs Richards desserts. The local beer was also very good. We returned this evening, having ensured a table by booking. This time we both had lamb, but different dishes again excellent and came with vegetables. Made sure we had dessert and again delicious. The staff certainly added to the evening, George said to make sure we mentioned the entertainment. Highly recommended.

Had a meal here just over a week ago and despite the 60's interior, the food was bang up-to-date with good size helpings too and unusually all the vegetables were included in our main course choices. We had fish for our mains - sea bream and (2 of us had) the hake (in a ginger & crust with a dill & lime sauce). The Sea bream meal was huge 3 pieces of fish on a pile of crushed new potatoes with asparagus. Would try this if I were visiting again. Hake dish was lovely too and large Lovely crumbles with ice cream or custard for afters & mini sponge cake with cream & elderflower jam. Friendly & attentive service from (new?) young waitresses. Bill came to just over £60 for three of us - 6 courses in all, plus drinks, so good value.

Owners need to change the info on this site. The cuisine is NOT African - I'd say it was a cross between modern British & French (nouvelle cuisine).

If I was the owner, I'd convert the pool room into a dining room and knock-through into the small dining room next to it and move the pool table into the bar area (where we ate) to keep the local beer drinkers happy. I'd also improve the loos & get rid of the boxes in the red telephone box in the car park, which lower the tone.

All-in-all though, a lovely meal and service and would happily visit again.

Nice welcome at the Dial Inn. Good menu with some interesting options as well as more traditional. We ate Guinea Fowl and Lamphey Lamb specials and were very pleased. Lots of fresh veg and plentiful portions. Puds were yum - cumbles, pies, meringues. Local beer was good. Not cheap but we felt fair for decent local food. Folks running the pub are very kind and helpful. Will be back soon we hope!
