Cant speak for the accommodation, but Sunday lunch was difficult to fault. The relaxed and comfortable surroundings, and extensive grounds for a wander all add to the occasion. A drink somehow goes down much better from a large and comfortable chair, and the absence of parties seeing who can pile the most on their plate makes a nice change too .A bit of old-fashioned style about it - if you remember when the £ was worth $4, you will like this place. And the food was good too.
Only complaint - the Conservatory is too hot on a hot day, but then that problem does not arise too often in Wales, does it?

Stunning location and the main hotel is a beautiful old manor house. Grand entrance and lovely grounds. Restaurant was in a large conservatory with delicious food served a la carte. Lovely little bar area with leather sofas and chairs.
Staff are very pleasant and more than happy to help.
The only negatives were in the room. I stayed with my wife for a night with a Groupon deal and we were given a room in what is basically the old outbuildings of the manor house. It was about 100 meters away and as it was the middle of a ran storm we got pretty wet getting too and from the main building. The room was big and spacious with a very comfy double bed and and a very uncomfortable sofa bed. Room had the usual tea making facilities and a TV. Decor needs updating as is looking aged. The bathroom was a big let down as was very small and narrow, the door had to be left open to stand at the sink and the shower was lacking any pressure.

Today 45 of our local group went to Lamphey Court for breakfast the service was terrible. The event was booked weeks before for us to have the breakfast in the Hotel conservatory. When we arrived there was not enough tables and chairs. There was only ONE waiter to serve us all. The plates were cold the breakfast was terrible. The toast arrived half-an hour after the breakfast had finished. There was only two hot flasks for teas and coffees for 45 people. We had to clear away the plates and cups etc ready for our meeting because there was no waiters available There ere dead flies on the floor. The general service was extremely poor again.

Stayed in this lovely location last week whilst on a mini break visiting Pembrokeshire....great room, masses of space for 2 of us and our Dog Daisy....However....Room was very "tired" and basically needed a good paint, re-tile in the bathroom and a good clean!.......however, for 2 days cant moan, unless you PAY for it!..which we did....

Breakfast....somewhat of a Joke..massive coach party of Germans where staying and the whole work force of the hotel seemed to give all their attention to them!...leaving the rest of us! to fend for ourselves, No pastries out, no fruit..all very poor, when our breakfast order "was" taken" it was wrong and asked 3 times for coffee....

I'd still go back and stay again, but i think I would check if there was any coach parties in!

Cheers!..... Our Dog Daisy loved it though!

My husband and I are staying here for 6 days. Very pleased with our room and facilities, have not tried the spa yet. Very disappointed with the restaurant food have had two meals so far, both were overcooked and dry. By contrast the breakfast has been excellent obviously a different chef. We will not be having dinner here again

Room Tip: Location is a bit off the beaten track

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on your stay.

We are sorry to hear that your food was not to our normal standards - this has been passed to the head chef who will speak to the kitchen team. We have since changed to our summer menu and guest seem to be happy with our offering.

We where happy to hear that the rest of your stay was enjoyable and we hope to see you again in the future.

Superb location in the quiet of the Pembrokeshire countryside, in a quality historic mansion with only 27 rooms. Excellent dining; the food may seem a little expensive, but you really must try it- you won't be disappointed!
