I feel I have to share my feelings about Lamphey Hall Hotel and especially the staff. I stayed with a party of family and friends in March for a celebration birthday. It was wonderful. The food was great-both on the Saturday night, breakfast the next morning and to complete the weekend a superb late Sunday lunch. The staff cannot do enough to please and at every point, make you feel you and your party are the only people that matter, even though their restaurant is full to capacity and everyone wants 'a piece of them'.. Andrea the Manager will put herself out to help in any way she can. Nothing is too much trouble for her. This also applies to the owners Andrew and Wayne - these 3 people work so well together and have fantastic staff who are always smiling. Even though we are local, I cannot wait to return for a meal and be welcomed by the wonderful effervescent and charming Andrea . I am sure that Lamphey Hall Hotel will be updating their premises in the very near future.

Room Tip: Had the double room on the ground floor off the hallway- great romm with a French door opening onto...

We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Our Family apartment offers fantastic freedom if you are travelling with animals, with its separate entrance making it easy to come and go as you please.

We hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel in the near future.

Visited Lamphey Hall for a evening meal for the second time in a year since to celebrate our belated anniversary. Venue ambience and service was again very good, however food still could be better. Although not at all bad, asked for medium cook steak and it arrived very well done, no sporting veg to add colour to the plate and generally a lack of attention being paid. A little disappointing, but as we say not a disaster, come on Lamphey Hall, get the food right and it would be one of the best venues around Pembroke as the setting is fantastic.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about the hotel.

All staff at the hotel work extremely hard to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

Our highly trained chefs use only fresh ingredients when cooking to ensure that there is no compromise in taste.
I'm sorry that your dining experience did not live up to our own high standards.

Your comments have been passed on to the kitchen and changes have been made to our steak garnish and vegetable accompaniments.

We hope o welcome you to Lamphey Hall again in the near future.

This place needs Alex Polizzi's input, it has lots of good ingredients but the wrong ones make it very average.
As soon as we arrived I told my wife not to judge a book by its cover but we were bang on and there was more.
Externally it needs quite a bit of TLC to the building and more to the gardens.
Internally they need to clear the clutter, get some period emulsion paint on the walls in the hallway and dining room etc etc etc.
The female maître de/ front of house is far to over familiar, might work with the older gentlemen clientele and get a laugh but don't do it with complete strangers. Too tactile.
Food in the restaurant was very good.
Staff generally are very good and attentive.

Sleep quality was only rated terrible due to a drunk trying to get in the front door at 3am then shouting his head for half an hour, owner heard the noise but did nothing about it. Police arrived 45minutes later and arrested him.

Room rated terrible as the bathroom had so many faults and a poorly located step in at the ensuing door meant I nearly broke my foot.

Room Tip: Don't accept room 8

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about the hotel.

The hotel is currently undergoing some 'TLC' the outside of the hotel is being painted and trees have been felled to make way for a new conservatory.

The decor of the hotel is part of the owners personal collection and although we love every item and feel that it lends itself to the building, we understand that it is not to everybody's taste.

We can only offer our apologies for the disturbance during the night, the gentleman in question was not a guest at the hotel and was mistakenly trying to find his room here.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your time at Lamphey Hall, all of your comments have been passed on to the relevant departments

My wife and I dined at the Lamprey Hall Hotel on Thursday the 24th April 2014. The hotel has a charming exterior and we were welcomed in warmly by the bubbly maître d . We were late diners at 8-55 and staff did check with chef he could accommodate us. I had calamari , which were frozen and I knew this and they were fine. my wife had the pate which was also nice, my main course was the New York deli pasta , which although well cooked was swimming in cream and lacked flavour.
My wife had chicken curry, which appeared to have been made with Chinese restaurant curry paste. It had lots of chicken in it but the paste was not as well cooked as it might have been. Chips were vile which is why we left them. It appears the chip pan had been turned off as they were soggy with oil and cold . The two course menu was £12.95 which is good value. Overall it's an ok place, fair quality food , but could do much much better. The female Maître d did try to make some really unusual jokes and was far too personal, wanting hugs from me why!!!
This place has potential to become really good .

Room Tip: Didn't stay only ate there
