“Lovely guest house in a beautiful area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 January 2012

We stayed here for two nights and loved the area and found the guest house a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. We actually recommended it to my parents who promptly stayed here the following weekend, in a different room and also loved the place.

An excellent B&B: warm welcome, spacious well-appointed rooms, tasty breakfasts. This period house is full of character and exudes calm. Set on its own in open country, it offers distant views and a peaceful retreat, the only sound being the rattle of a far-away train. Cat lovers will be entranced by the pint-sized, three-legged cat who turned up on the doorstep one day and stayed. Other animals include two Shetland ponies and some Jacob sheep. Ideal for those using the Irish ferries or exploring this magical and historic 'Little England beyond Wales'.

Room Tip: Ask for the double-aspect room with the four-poster bed.

We stayed here last year in a cottage and returned this year with friends. John is extremely friendly and helpful and invited us to share breakfast in the house with our friends staying B&B, even though we were self-catering. There is a great area for a barbecue with a lovely view and it is very well located for Pembroke and the fabulous National Trust beaches just along the coast.

Just as good as last year with a warm and friendly welcome, a charming room and a decent breakfast on the doorstep of Pembrokeshire's national parks. We stayed for five nights and will do so again, God willing!

Room Tip: I recommend the Pemboke room for views and comfort.

We came here in December, when it was Christmas Card perfect. The most beautiful Georgian home, set in the most stunning Pembrokeshire landscape. Our room was stunning, and I have never slept so peacefully, in such a comfortable bed. The whole house has the most wonderful warm and welcoming atmosphere, created by the owners, Jane and John. The best breakie I've had in a long time, and John really is a fountain of all knowledge! Wonderful owners, gorgeous home, beautiful views, peace, calm and tranquility. Great spots nearby in Tenby town, St Davids, beach and country walks. Fab fab fab. But the cherry on the cake at Lamphey Park, was the resident flock of sheep and 2 horses in the paddock, wandering right past the dining room window as we had our breakfast! Cannot recommend the place enough for any escape in Pembrokeshire. Really feels like a home away from home.
