Owner description: **The car park is currently being redeveloped. The site remains open, but has a reduced capacity as a result.** Rhossili Bay lies at the western end of the beautiful Gower peninsula. 3 miles of golden sands, iconic landscapes including Worms Head and Rhossili Down and history everywhere- from neolithic through to the more recent, including home to Edgar Evans. Its a walker's dream with routes in all directions, including the Welsh coastal path. The beach is dog friendly all year round and the whole area is beautiful whatever the weather. Today, the National Trust cares for 2 of the 3 miles of the beach, Rhossili Down, and most of the coastline between Rhossili and Port Eynon. (26 miles of Gower coastline in total). The landscape is free. The village of Rhossili also contains other private businesses- The Worms Head Hotel, The Bay Bistro, Sam's Surf Shack, Coastal Surf And Gifts, The Causeway (cafe) and Rhossili Gallery. The car park is free overnight and free to members during the day. Non members are currently charged £4 per day (car). All profits from the car park go towards keeping the area beautiful. Please note that the toilets are owned and operated by Swansea Council.

The beach at Rhossili Bay is spectacular. Glorious golden sand and sea worth surfing. Loads to do in the local area too if you like walking. Can't wait to visit again for longer.

Rhossili itself absolutely delightful; car park attendant candidate for the title surliest man in South Wales. Make sure you havevthevtught change and accurately follow his arm waving directions, even if they do not make sense.

On a good day, nothing beats Gower for scenery, andRhossili has one of the best views around. Walks range from easy/ flat to steep - so has something for everyone

Wow! I found out about this place when reading an article about the best beaches in the world. Having been to some incredible beaches in the world, I was dubious. I love Wales, I live here. But it isn't blessed with the best climate.
Well, this beach is just breath taking! We visited in the rain and then the next day in the chilly sunshine.
The water is clear, the beach is soft, pristine and HUGE! The views are just so lovely. Walk along the cliffs and see the beach stretch out from Worms Head all the way along.
My boys aged 14 and 8 had surf lessons, my daughter aged 5 went body boarding and we all collected beautiful shells.
It might rarely see the hot sunshine but that doesn't take away any of it's beauty. I can't wait to go back.

Fantastic Beach. Our favourite in the UK. Great Campsite behind the dunes at Hill End. We've been on several occasions. Better services at other beaches around the UK, but you come here for the beach alone. Looking forward to our next trip.
