We arrived at longnor for our 3 night break, the views and surroundings are absolutely stunning. we were shown to our lodge and the staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities were brilliant and the lodge was well equipped, it was also immaculate. The hot tub was the icing on the cake and was lovely to chill in the evening it was so peaceful and there's bunnies everywhere. we visited Buxton and had a lovely meal at the Cheshire cheese inn down the road, would definitely recommend this place. I will definitely be booking again soon. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: acorn lodge 1 is perfect if its just the two of you

This was our second visit to Longnor Wood, this time staying in Elm, a brand new, one bedroom deluxe lodge. Once again the standard of accommodation was first class; the location is excellent for a relaxing break. On arrival we were greeted with champagne, chocolates and an Easter Egg. The site is so quiet we had the best night’s sleep ever, loved the fact it was so private and peaceful, we had an amazing time which was made possible by the owners who do a fantastic job! The area is great for walking and cycling, there are so many miles of beautiful countryside. Overall, we were extremely impressed with the lodge, park and surrounding area, and we have already booked another break in September. We really did not want to leave, thank you for a wonderful stay. The hot tub was still the best feature, very romantic. Imagine sipping champagne in the hot tub as the lights twinkle above.

Room Tip: They are all fantastic, secluded and private

We stayed Monday - Friday at the end of April and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Geranium lodge!
On arrival we were given a friendly welcome and shown to our lodge efficiently with a quick breakdown of how everything works... hot tub, cooker etc.
Our first impressions were excellent. We were very impressed at how immaculate the lodge was inside. The décor is lovely and furnished perfectly! The wooden veranda outside had a large patio table, 4 chairs, a large parasol and of course the hot tub... which we made very good use of! There is a 10pm curfew for the hot tub which we were fine with.
Inside the lodge there were plenty of tourist leaflets about the surrounding area which came in very handy.
The main thing that stood out about this site is the amount of rabbits everywhere! I am a huge bunny lover and this made the stay extra special.. it was a lovely sight every morning to see 5 or 6 rabbits sat outside your lodge! Especially the baby ones!
The beds were the perfect comfort, and we didn't hear a sound all through the night, not even from neighbouring lodges!
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn't want to come home! The only thing I wish was different was the check in/out time. You can't check in till 4pm and you have to check out by 10am, which shortens your stay by two days in my opinion. But we understand that the lodges have to be cleaned for the next arrival.

We have just returned from our 21st stay in the Lodges, this time in the Kale 2 bedroom, very large with twin double French doors onto the decking hot tub area, this makes the access easy and the lounge very light and airy. The lodge was warm and cosy and we very quickly felt at home, and as it was my wife's birthday loads of treats from the owners, which really gives that friendly homely touch. The hot tub is new and a big improvement and a welcome treat. The water quality is checked daily and any adjustment to ensure top quality is maintained. John , Debbie and their family do their utmost to ensure you have an enjoyable stay, nothing is too much trouble, just ask. Having stayed over the last 8 years and have seen the site develop, with improvements to every aspect, I can only say well done you have created a fantastic place.

Room Tip: John has negotiated a pick up and drop off service for the local pub Cheshire Cheese

Stayed in the Maple Lodge for 3 nights with my partner. Could not have been happier, the lodge was perfect, the hot tub was amazing! Everything was just as we wanted it to be. Very friendly and helpful staff. Such a peaceful place to stay! Would 100% recommend staying here!! As there are no taxis about we thought it was brilliant that a local pub arranged to pick you up and drop you back off for free!!!

Booked a 3 night weekend break in mid-March to unwind and that's exactly what we did. We stayed in Maple lodge which was one of the larger deluxe cabins for two people. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times. The cabin was extremely well equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, and lots of nice little touches like bottle of fizz and a box of chocs on arrival. There were even practical things like a hairdryer, tea/coffee/sugar/milk, washing powder, washing up liquid, tea towel, cleaning sprays (not that I intended to be cleaning!), all the stuff I'd brought from home but didn't even need to unpack. The hot tub was fab, even when it was really cold and windy at night, the kitchen had everything you needed, it was like home from home. The cabin was lovely and warm as it was centrally heated. Loved it that much we have booked to go back in September!

Room Tip: Worth the extra cost to get a deluxe cabin as you get a much larger hot tub!
