This B&B is on a retired river barge (the Compaen) on the Rhine River in Arnhem. It's within walking distance of the central rail station; there is also a parking lot close to its pier. Our cabin was reached by going through the wheelhouse and down a narrow set of steep steps. The cabin had a tiny galley of its own (where one could prepare coffee, etc.). A pleasant common space accommodates a few tables, and is where breakfast is served. The cabin had a good-sized table and desk, with a comportable bed.
The proprietors were friendly and accommodating, and provided secure bike storage.
This could be a difficult venue for an elderly person with joint problems (but is pleasant enough that it could be worth using a 'spotter' to negotiate the steps). But it's a refreshing change of pace, and we enjoyed it very much. In their retirement, my parents lived (summers) in a houseboat on the Mississippi, so there was a layer of nostalgia added to a charming accommodation/
