This was our 5th or 6th stay at hotel Beaumont and we really lost our heart here.
The location is excellent , in the best part of Maastricht.
We've stayed in different kind of rooms and must admit that the rooms in the main-building are very cosy, but the rooms across the street are larger, that's why it doesn't bother us which one we get.
Our main reason to come back is the fantastic restaurant! In fact, we book a room to visit the restaurant twice a year( it's a 2 hours drive for us).
In april, the restaurant host recognized us and offered us a glass of champagne on the house! Unfortunately, he wasn't here in august, but we were very well treated by the rest of the staff.
I can't wait to get back as soon as possible!

Room Tip: Superior rooms across the street are very spacy but a bit less cosy, Don't take a basic room unl...

We upgraded our room to the bigger size for an additional 20Euros per night. Can't imagine how small the basic room would have been, I would suggest upgrading. Amenities (including complementary mini-fridge) were good and restocked by the excellent house keepers/cleaning staff daily. Some staff were very friendly and helpful, others not so much (will clarify). The room was nice and had a ceiling fan but no A/C. It can get warm in the summer and the street noise can be very loud, especially with open windows. Street cleaners start at 5AM and people are out very late. You may get serenaded by the neighbor boys across the street and their trumpet (they are only just learning, sounds dying elephant). Good location in the city and about 10 minute walk from the train station. Laundry service is very expensive and you can't stop up the sink to do your own. Shared iron in the hall. For the bad part.

Do NOT get the breakfast unless you have some weird obsession for powdered eggs and grumpy staff. 19 euros is insane for what we got. We started at 915AM and the breakfast ended at 10AM but food was never replaced despite being gone upon our arrival. Limited fresh fruit. The scrambled eggs are either poisoned or made from powder. My wife asked a staff person for a fried egg. He cracked the egg. Then left. She finished the egg and served herself. So did other people. Apparently you pay 19euros to cook your own eggs. The coffee machine broke and yes, you also make your own coffee. Oh, you also make your own tea. Actually, I'm not sure what the staff did other than look at you and wish you would hurry up and leave already. For that price I expect to be served my beverage and have my eggs cooked for me. I also expect good variety of fresh fruit , cheese, bread, etc... The breakfast experience actually stopped up from eating at the hotel's restaurant for dinner that night. There are much better breakfast places just around the corner for about 18 euros for two people and they make everything for you.

Dear guest ‘TravelingSmythes’,

I’m sorry to read that your stay was not perfect, our apologizes.
We do have three room categories; Basic room - small sized room, Comfort room - medium sized room and the Superior room is a large sized room.
Concerning the noise in the night, as we are a centrally located hotel it is inescapable that there will be noise from the street. Also for that reason we have equipped the room with air-conditioning so that guests can control the temperature and do not have to open the windows.
Of course we can take care that we can reserve a room at the quite site of the hotel during your next stay. We ask you to mention this during your next reservation please.
I’m sorry the read that you did not enjoyed the breakfast especially because normally our breakfast is one of our strengths. I will discuss your remarks concerning this with my team.
I hope we may welcome you again in the future.

Best regards,
Rozien Beaujean – hotel manager

Excellent located in Maastricht, by car, they have a parking. By train, it's a 10minutes walk from the station (straight ahead.). It's 10 minute from downtown in a very nice neighbourhood. Beluga, a 3 star-restaurant. The Rechtstraat with art, living and restaurants. The pedastrianbridge crossing the river Maas brings you downtown with all the shops and more (tourist-)restaurants and bars, Where you can have your spaghetti- or chili con carne-lunch (with beer). Its pedastrian-area. We had a BasicRoom bit small, but who cares? (there's also Comfort and Superior - and 3 others). They have a very nice restaurant, great cooking, good quality, fair priced excellent wines. So you don't need to go downtown. So have a break, go to the Beaumont hotel!

We were in the annex across the road, so we lost some of the atmosphere of being in the main hotel but we gained a large quiet room with an ample bathroom. Staff attentive and friendly especially the excellent staff at breakfast, which was wonderful. The car parking was a necessity for us, pricy but being a few metres away and fully secure it was bearable. Would recommend as a good base for exploring the city as the walk across the river added to the appreciation.

We enjoyed the City Break Comfort Room special (2 nights + dinner) and it was a wonderful experience. During check-in, someone in front of us was complaining that the Comfort Room wasn't up to his expectations, but that must have been one spoilt billionaire! In reality, the Comfort Room was very nice and comfortable (kingsize bed + bath + flatscreen TV + complimentary mini-bar refreshments), and the staff was very friendly and professional.

Being located in the city center, there is some street noise to be expected, but this is not related to the quality of the rooms. One final tiny nitpick: adding a few chocolates to the mini-bar would be the finishing touch.

Room Tip: Rooms on the Lage Barakken are the quieter than those on the Wycker Brugstraat which is in a direct...

Great hotel to stay for exploring Maastricht. Conveniently located within walking distance of the city center and excellent rooms, friendly staff, and breakfast is well provided. The only flaw in my opinion is the expensive parking the hotel offers. Rate is even higher than daily rates of nearby commercial parking garages, I would advise to lower it as a gesture towards the guests.

We stayed at the Hotel Beaumont for the wedding that we organised in Maastricht. All the guests coming from abroad (45 rooms) stayed at the hotel and we only heard positive reactions.

Also from our side I must say that it was very nice staying. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We mainly worked with the girls from Group reservations, which was a real pleasure as they always kept us up to date of where we were regarding the hotel room reservations. We also got two nights complimentary in the 'Beaumont Suite', which was a really kind.

Also special thank you to Steven who works at reception. Sorry for being our personal 'key man' in the last couple of days!

Thanks a lot to all of you for making our stay such a memorable one.

Hotel Beaumont is located in a stately building in the elegant district of Wyck, in the centre of Maastricht. The Beaumont family has run the hotel at this location since 1912. The hotel’s interior, by the British architect David Chipperfield, is modern while at the same time maintaining the building’s typical features and respecting its history. One example of this is the use of minimalist decor in rooms with original ceiling features. Under the inspiring leadership of four generations the family business has grown into a modern hotel with 124 rooms, a number of conference and banquet rooms, and Harry’s restaurant which is a member of Maastricht Culinair, the premier association of quality restaurants in Maastricht. For more than 100 years, honest hospitality and personal service have been the core values of this family-run business. Welcome to Hotel Beaumont! ... more   less
