“Great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2013

What a lovely place. The service was excellent, the people friendly, but the best is the location: close enough to walk from Maastricht central station and very close to the centre of Maastricht. It was really close enough to be able to go back for a rest and then out into the streets again. We found the room comfortable and clean and loved the coffee and cake and the sundowner drink offered into the package.

We stayed at hotel Mabi for 5 nights and had a very good time. The room is in good size, clean and comfortable. It has all the facilities. Staff was very nice and friendly. Bed was too soft for us.There is no aircondition in the rooms so I am not sure that this room would be nice for the Sumer.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Mabi only for one night, but it was a great experience! It's only a partial block to the Vrijhof and a full block to the best shopping streets and small restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is wonderful- a true "artsy" hotel with tastefully done decor and quirky details. At 3pm they offer Vlaai and coffee and at 5 wine and olives. A true treat. The extras that come with the room are delightful and the beds are some of the best I've slept on world-wide.
I'm recommending it to all our friends and realities. You can't go wrong!

This hotel is really well located, less than a minute to the Vrijthof in Maastricht.
We only stayed one night but still managed to take advantage of the daily free coffee and cake in the afternoon and wine and olives early evening!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, it was no problem to use the storage room to leave our bags the day we left so we could wander around the city without having to carry everything with us. My husband went down to get drinks late in the evening and that was no problem, very reasonably priced drinks and the mini wine bottles were really good.

The room was nice, big, good bathroom with bath and shower and some posh toiletries in the bathroom.

All in all, very nice atmosphere, helpful staff and really great location.

This is a mediocre hotel pretending to be a boutique hotel. Check in was not polite, almost rude. The manager swept imperiously past us without a glance. We were a party of 3 rooms, but we were told firmly that not a single one would be ready before 3 pm, and were simply handed the key for the luggage room. The rooms themselves were spartan, and the bed was springy on foam additions to the mattress. A mediocre room.
It is a good location, which means that you can find a nicer breakfast on the Markt than in the hotel.
We were there during the art fair, TEFAF, and hotels may feel that they can do as they please and damn the customer. But why be rude about it?

We checked in on a Sunday afternoon around 4.30pm. The lady at reception was rather brusque. There is no parking at the hotel which is obviously a problem, having overcome this problem by parking in a different road and carting our luggage to the hotel, we went up to our rather basic room. The room itself was quite large but somehow too basic for the money, we paid £100 for the room with no breakfast! They also added 10 euros as a service charge!!!! There were no coffee tea making facilities, and no bath, they really didn't know which price bracket they should be in, and tried to up the anti, by adding a large tube of toothpaste (why?) and some extra toiletries. The room looked out onto a brick wall!

There was indeed complimentary pie and coffee until 5.30pm and then complimentary wine and olives. At this point the restaurant really filled up, and there didn't seem to be any limits on wine. This did something to redeeming themselves. However we would not stay at this hotel again.

I stayed here for 4 nights whilst helping my daughter move. Unfortunately never got around to the wine and nibbles but they looked fantastic. The room was clean and the extra touches were much appreciated. It was also completely quiet at night which is rare in a hotel so central to everything. Would have liked a kettle in the room, but that is a minor point. The desk staff were always friendly and helpful.

Had breakfast on one morning - a decent selection of hot and cold

Really loved this slightly quirky hotel and will definitely stay there next time we are in Maastricht.
