A really nice B&B, although the owner doesn't live there. However, he lives near and was there to greet us and carry our bags to our room (and offered to carry them down next day). He couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. He provided a map and showed us where to park where it was secure and not far away, and it only cost 3 euros to exit next day.
The place is quite secure requiring input of a numeric code on a keypad to open the door to the premises. Don't forget it or shout it out in the street.
The accommodation was very clean, fresh and modern. The bed was comfortable and we got a good night's rest although that can depend on the people who pass by in the street. The room was a reasonable size and the bathroom a good size with the usual toiletries.
Breakfast was very good although it might be a squeeze if fully occupied. The owner was on hand to ensure we had everything we needed.
The only negative is the stairs are a bit steep and narrow because of the size of the building. Hence the owner carrying our luggage to save us (retired persons) struggling.
Roermond is a lovely place. We were last there in 1967 and it's even better now.
Highly recommended for the younger more agile.More
