A group of six of us were in town on business, and one of them being a local got us reservations for a Monday night. We started in the bar with a huge selection of beers, both their classics as well as their seasonals, and more beer on top of that. Good start getting better.
We got seated in the back and had our orders and drink orders taken, and we all received onion soup and a bread triangle (made from beer residues) which we quite liked.
Our starters were 3 green salads and 3 smoked salmons. One green salad went back as he (our guest) didn't like sardines, but that was his fault. The salmon with the slaw was light and just right. It was maybe a 2 oz piece.
Entrees we were split again. 3 steaks and 3 pork loins. When we ordered, they didn't ask how to cook the steak, it just came out med-rare, prefect in my book. The sauce and mushrooms topped it nicely. All our plates were cleaned to the china by tongue and fork, there were no winner declared. Two desserts were ordered, but I had to try one more small dark beer, so I avoided the ice cream.
We will be back, even if it is to just try a new beer and a seasonal starter.
