It is a rare experience indeed, when a group spanning 6 decades can all be kept content in a restaurant. From sensual sashimi to light springrolls, spring asparagus and even a burger (!!)- the entire party was happy. great atmosphere in the tight little street with restaurants cheek by jowl- a belgian atmosphere with dutch sine qua non.

Now I have started to write reviews, I definitely don't want to forget one of my favorite restaurants in my home town. Tante Pietje is located at one of , for foodies, the nicest streets of 's-Hertogenbosch. Full of restaurants and bars, great atmosphere and excellent people watching. The dishes on the menu are classic but are prepared very well. Wide selection of wines in every price range. Service is professionally informal and very attentive. Service tend to be fast but not if you go later in the evening. It is always hard to rate price but Tante Pietje is in the mid range but definitely worth the money. Went there with friends and for business and Tante Pietje fit both occassions.

The starter and food were tasty but mediocre. I ordered the pork medallions, and they were so dry they sucked the moisture out of my mouth on the first bite. The best part was the dessert; the Dame Blanche. Though not a unique dish, I have never had such a great ice cream.

I was in Den BOsch for work and given how busy the restaurant was I thought I would give it a go.

There was a good atmosphere in the restaurant with what looked like a mix of locals and people there on tours/business.

My colleague and I both had the mixed grill which was sensibly proportioned leaving some room for an excellent dessert.

All in all it was an enjoyable experience with good food and friendly service.
