We were very happy to book this hotel for our xmas stopover. The bedroom is modern, clean and inxpensive.bed is also very comfortable. Location is accesible to the center on foot. Staff is very helpful and friendly(thanks to the reception who lend us umbrella during the rain and stored our luggage after we checked out). Didnt try the breakfast so cannot comment on this, however i would stay there again next visit to the city

Room Tip: Though our room facing main street, its not loud, we slept through the night

Nicely renovated hotel just holding rooms. No restaurant or bar although reception has a bar offering).
But they have nice deals for that in walking distance.

Parking just across the street.

Just excellent. When planning another Eindhoven visit, there is no doubt we will check for room availability.

Overall, a nice hotel. Spacious room, decent bathroom. Laundry on-site. Friendly reception. The let-down was the poor breakfast deal. This was taken in the bakery next door where the hotel said you could "have whatever you like". No, you couldn't. There was a small buffet to choose from specially for hotel guests, with nasty carton orange juice and weak coffee. Regular customers coming in to the bakery got freshly-squeezed orange juice and freshly-made coffees. Plus, it's cheaper just to buy things yourself than pay the hotel for the voucher, which is what I did every day after the first time. Another catch is that shops, including supermarkets, in central Eindhoven only open 9am to 6pm, so there is no alternative but to go to this one bakery for breakfast. Room cleaning was a little patchy, with supplies not refreshed on at least one day I was there.

Room Tip: It's on a quiet side street, so all rooms should be fine.

Nice rooms, excellent customer care but the quality of breakfast is not adequate to the hotel: limited choice of food, medium quality, I had to keep my jacket on as the temperature in the room (external to the hotel) was low (the door remained open all the time). I would surely skip the breakfast the next time

Boutique Hotel Lumiere certainly lives up to its 'boutique' status. When checking-in at the reception, one may wonder what is it that gets this hotel such rave reviews. But step inside the room and the beauty of the place starts unfolding itself layer by layer. The size of the rooms is undoubtedly opulent considering that it is bang in the city centre. What earns your awe are the fantastic layout/design, soothing aesthetics and state-of-the-art fittings in the rooms. The front desk is extremely responsive to your needs and tries genuinely to assist visitors who are new to the country/city. Though one has to take breakfast in a neighboring bakery shop, it turns out to be a delightful experience with the bakery staff making you feel truly welcome.

Just to confirm all the positive reviews about this hotel on Tripadvisor.
Location is great, staff is great, rooms are clean and fine. It's all true and worth a visit.

When travelling we always enjoy our breakfast in the morning. Nextdoor's Bakkertje Bol is o.k. but just not our piece of cake. The buffet is smallish (1 mtr wide, that's all) and I wonder how they handle if the hotel is really busy. There is not a lot of variety and we are just missing our eggs cooked to perfection on the spot. Just cold cooked eggs, as being used in the food industry, is no good in anybody's standard. Pre-peeled (!!), not freshly cooked, too much cold, cooked too much hard, wrong colour yellow,
Having a couple of hundred oranges on display in a bin is just challenging for the freshly sqeezed juice to come. But then serving the breakfast guests some rubbish yellow liquid from a carton is simply not winning any prize for hospitality. Freshly sqeezed can be bought at a surcharge............. So no prize for customer friendly either.........
Apart from the eggs and the juice, quality wise no complaints about the breakfast.
When in Eindhoven in future, we do know where to stay overnight and we do know where not to have breakfast.
