“Love this Hotel! Really good stay and value...”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 via mobile

Three of us decided to have a European road trip to Germany and stopped off here on the way through...

If your driving, there's a reasonably priced underground car park which has a lift straight up to reception. When we came upstairs we were greeted by a fantastic looking reception area with really friendly staff, check in was quick and easy and the room was fantastic...

Three decent beds, nice bathroom and really quick free wifi, coffee machine, good tv signal (if your even bothered about that), all relatively new and decorated and cleaned to a high standard. All for 110 euros inc parking and city tax? Really impressive (especially as we split between the 3 of us)...

It's 5 mins walk to the main street where all the bars and restaurants are situated... The girls in the hotel bar were great with local advice and service - so thank you for that....

I travel a lot with work and for pleasure, so I know a good hotel when I see one... this is definitely worth a high rating. If there's a downside it's the pricey breakfast at 20 euros each. This however is optional, we went to a local cafe so can't comment on quality etc - but this is your choice...

Thanks again Art hotel Eindhoven... Will certainly be staying with you again....

What a great hotel. Good central location with parking. Easy to find and get to. Rooms are all individual and very spacious. Bathroom with rain shower did not disappoint. Had a small problem with the room key but staff very helpful and apologetic. Dinner was a nice and relaxing experience, which after a 6 hour drive, was very welcoming. Breakfast buffet could gave been better as no one explained the routine but we managed! Bacon was very salty, but that was the only complaint. Will stay there again, definitely, although no longer a best western.

Outstanding in all respects, perfect location, clean, modern, welcoming.incredible value, big rooms very well furnished if not a little quirky, with one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. Hotel has its own underground car park and is just two minutes from the bars and restaurants in the town.

Horrible experience. I have stayed in the most depressing room ever. It was spacious, as well as the bathroom. But so dark and gloomy. Yikes. The room is not cosy at all. All 'cupboards' are open so your personal items can be seen by the roommaids. There was only one sheet of paper, which was already written upon. All the small boxes which normally contain showercap etc. were empty. There was nothing on the wall, no information to be seen about Eindhoven, no magazines, nothing. The two single beds were separated from each other and appeared to be long, but small. I am a tiny person but I almost fell out of bed during the night when turning. There was no make up mirror. On the second day they removed the Senseo coffeemachine (there was a replacement going on - why not leave the Senseo till the replacement has arrived??). That was the limit. I checked out and moved to another hotel in Eindhoven for the remaining two nights. By the way, I had dinner twice in the restaurant which was very nice. It made up a little for the sadness of the room.
Oh, and... there is no art anywhere to be seen in the 'Art' Hotel (what's in a name?)

Room Tip: If you like gloomy dark rooms, pick room 205. If you don't like that ask the reception for anoth...

I stay in Art hotel at least once a month when traveling for business. Hotel offers free parking and is located in a town center which makes it easy to go out in the evening. Staff is friendly and bar well stocked. Lunch/Dinner on a standard level and really good breakfasts apart from very salty bacon.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in a building where reception is based. Much more convenient and higher quality.

The Art hotel has very nice rooms. Choice of furniture and color choice in e.g. the bathroom are very original. If you have a choice, choose the rooms in the same building as the lobby and the restaurant. These are normally a bit nicer. Service is good and the breakfast buffet is great. The hotel is on walking distance from all the restaurant and bar areas of the centre of the city.

Room Tip: choose the rooms in the same building as the lobby

Stylish hotel with large and well presented modern rooms. Hotel is in a good location near shopping area.
The hotel appears to be in a period of transition between owners and as a result attention to detail isn't quite there. A few items that frustrated me:-
1. Cold sink tap not working in bathroom.
2. Several bulbs out in the room
3. No air con in the rooms, just a central cooling system....these always mean the room is never the temp you want and this room was far too warm for a good nights sleep.
4. No iron or board in the room, ordering them is tricky as they don't have enough....classic issue so make sure you order yours as soon as you get there.
5. Wifi is erratic, worked ok day one, day 2 nowhere to be seen.
6. No hotel facilities guide in the room....apparently due to owner switch over.
7. Shower runs hot and cold....frustrating!

I raised these matters with the reception and the tap and lights were fixed quickly but the other items weren't addressed.

Restaurant food on the whole is good although some items, such as the chicken satay main course were pretty poor. Somewhere between old school mush and stodgy with bits of left over chicken. Other than that other items were very tasty. Breakfast is standard hotel buffet fare, although no bacon on offer both days.

Staff were, without exception friendly, although appear a bit disorganised at times. Check in was one of those classic 10 minute waits while the receptionist rapidly clicks and taps the computer, no idea why check ins are like this in some hotels....why are they required to spend so long taping and clicking to check one person in! eventually a room card key is handed over.

Overall pleasant enough place but not sharp enough for the price/star rating in my opinion.
