We stayed here for three cosy nights. The apartment is bright and airy, warm and has everything that you need for your visit. Didn’t get to meet the owners but we were in contact via text.
Lots of wonderful local restaurants within a couple of streets away from the apartment and the tram stops are not far away either . We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future.
We stayed for 3 nights and would stay here again! Very well situated. About a half hour walk to Sam square but only minutes from a tram stop
The location of this flat could not be more perfect. It is situated right between Jordaan and Vondelpark, convenient to the airport express bus, and walkable to all parts of Amsterdam. Very close to the museum district (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh, Moco, etc). Yet, it is a quiet neighborhood street, so you feel like you are going home each time you return. The flat has a small but well-equipped kitchen with a Nespresso coffee maker, small sink, dishwasher, cooktop stove, and refrigerator--plenty to keep some food and make an uncomplicated meal. The bed is comfortable, there is a lovely balcony, a sitting table and chairs, and an armoire and chest of drawers to keep clothing.
The best part may be the hosts, Mirjam and Iwan. They were warm, friendly, and very hospitable to us. Iwan took his time when we arrived to show us around the flat and make suggestions on where to go to eat, things to see in the city, and how things work in the apartment. They leave a binder of information with maps and descriptions of where to eat and what to see, estimated costs, tips, and their personal opinions on sites and such.
I'm not sure if he is always willing and able to do so, but Iwan offered to do some laundry for us and that was an absolute godsend. We were one week into a two-week stay and running short on some things, and he did it for us while we toured around the city. Such an amazing gesture we were very thankful for.
We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Amsterdam!
We had a comfortable stay in this first floor apartment in a lovely old house just outside the city centre. The neighbourhood is quiet, close to trams and has lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. The flat itself was warm and had everything we needed. Iwan and Miriam were easy to contact, and Iwan gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. We really appreciated the drinks and food you provided for us - thank you!
I had a fantastic time at Myriam’s house . The place is very close to all the right spots the Vondel Park the Museums , the tram station etc !! Very good eating joints just round the corner and good supermarket near by.
Myriam was very helpful and sweet !! She was so thoughtful that post my Marathon run she came with balloons to congratulate me ! That was really touching .
My husband and I stayed a week at the Urban Tulip in late September. We give it our highest recommendation! The apartment had a charming decor, excellent WiFi, a comfortable bed and was sparkling clean. The location was perfect. We are in our early 70s/late 60s but we were able to walk to Vondel Park, the Museum area, and the Anne Frank House. It is true that the stairs were narrower than we expected. Mirjam was so gracious to carry our luggage up for us and we had no problems navigating them without our baggage. Mirjam went above and beyond with her kindnesses in every area. She even did our laundry for us which was extremely helpful! We would gladly visit this gracious home again!
The apartment is extremely comfortable, cosy and well-equipped - suitable for couples looking for a great location! We could walk to all major attractions, and had many eating options around the area despite arriving at night (9 pm). Mirjam and Iwan were helpful and keen to share their frequented areas in the neighbourhood (great brunch location!). Thanks again for the great stay!
