From the outside this museum looks like a large house which is exactly what it is. The Banksy and Icy & Sot exhibitions are very good and well laid out. Give yourself about any hour to get round.

Wonderful small exhibit in a beautiful building in the Museum Plaza. We saw the Banksy display which was thought provoking.
Recommended.

One of Amsterdam's smaller galleries in a faux Tudor house on Museumplein next to the Van Gogh Museum. It's a bit like walking into a grand country house. There are four floors including the basement with the top two devoted to Banksy's work on wood, concrete, metal and signs as well as sculptures. Banksy uses his typical quirky stencil art to demonise commercialism - his statements are obvious and undemanding but the style of delivery always intriguing. The gallery is well spaced out and the audio guide is free. The work by Icy & Sot, two Iranian brothers now living in the US, is excellent - I felt more interesting than Banksy. We arrived on a Saturday after 5pm when ticket prices are cheaper. They accept student ID too. There's a nice little garden surrounding the house. The shop is not terribly exciting though, I was hoping for lots of postcards to add to my collection but they only offer A5 size which was disappointing. Allow 60-90 minutes max.

Moco, Modern Contemporary, had a Banksy exhibit. We had seen the documentary about the known unknown graffiti artist called, “Exit through the Gift Shop”, so we were excited to see the exhibit. Because it is a small private museum, the Moco doesn’t have a large budget devoted to advertising. We were glad that the art show was advertised at baggage claim at Schiphol airport. We saw more signage while were on the bus going to our hotel.
I thought that the exhibit was wonderful. I have always been a big fan of Banksy . We were introduced to Icy and Sot, two Iranian brothers now living in the US, who were influenced by Banksy. I thought that the two exhibits complimented each other. You are permitted to photos as long as you don’t use flash. Sadly, the museum isn’t wheelchair accessible. Moco used to be a private house.

Wow we didn‘t know Banksy and we were very surprised by his works. Wonderful... just one tip for the Moco museum... some works are hanging a few times in the MOCO... just another color or size... I think it would be better not to show the same artworks a few times but present even other works or a thors artist (Banksy and Lichtenstein)
