We had a very nice 3 course dinner at Campo di Fiori, during the Restaurant week. The place was packed and that is always a good sign. Very upbeat staff. Very noisy though. Hanging curtains or something like that would help to dampen te rumour.

This place has a cool ambiance and is relatively new. If you want to eat decent Italian food without the pizza thing, this is the place to go. Tip: take the antipasti platter for 2 persons, it is enough for 3! And very good. The premium prosecco is only 6 euro more expensive but definitely the better buy. Waiters are very accommodating and I love the female maître d! She makes you feel very welcome.

Excellent!! The bread was fabulous served warm before the meal. Good wine for a good price.
My pasta entree was great and a good sized portion. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend.

I used to go very often to Le Pecheur, the owner has very recently sold the place and they plan to close down in January 2013 for Renovation. Part of the staff is still there at still very friendly. The menu has changed a lot. It is no more "almost only fish" now you have many, many pasta dishes and honestly many things you find in all the restaurant who pretend to do "Mediterranean" food. It is not bad but also nothing special anymore. The wine list as been reduce to almost nothing, the have one "chardonnay one "sauvignon blanc" but they don't even say the the year or the name of the wine beside that.... Also when we went there the restaurant was full but only because they have special internet deal at 22 euro, witch we didn't know and paid the full price ( around 40 per person without drinks) it gives a strange feeling when only locals can get the special deals online and you pay full. Sadly I will not go back and miss the "old" le pecheur

We had the best meal of our trip to Amsterdam at Le Pecheur, this was unexpected as another place we ate at had 2* Michelin!. The fish at Le Pecheur is excellently cooked and the soup was outstanding with large amounts of prawn ,scallop, mussels and clams as well as fish in it, I would recommend a visit if you enjoy good fish at reasonable prices
