Next to our hotel thought yumm. When we went there the prises were really expensive, so I thought this would be good...but no. 6 small Dutch pancakes that didn't even look fresh for 7 Euro.

Stay away.

After visiting Anne Frank's House, my daughter had talked about trying Dutch pancakes and was excited when she saw this pancake house. We decided to go in, without checking a menu. Once we sat down, we noticed that the prices were relatively expensive for pancakes. We overlooked this, hoping that these pancakes would be marvelous, and placed our order. There were five of us and the plates came out one at a time, so that by the time we got the last plate, the first person was already done eating. Secondly, these are not pancakes; these are crepes. And they are not generous. One of the plates that we ordered was a salami and cheese pancake. This crepe had four pieces of salami and four small pieces of cheese, that's it. Definitely not worth 13 euros. One of my sons ordered a nutella banana pancake and was the last to receive his plate. Worst thing is that the banana was completely black. When we asked to have this changed, the server responded rudely by saying "Do you want me to open all the bananas? I can't do that"... Overall, this was just disappointing: the service wasnt good, the food wash't great, and it was expensive.

After visiting the Anne Frank House, we came across Sara's which is close by. My boyfriend and I split a huge banana pancake (around 8 Euro) and the waitress helpfully suggested a syrup that goes well with what we ordered. We only ate the pancake but it was a delicious midday snack that allowed us to experience the typical Dutch pancake craze. Highly recommend!

This place is beyond terrible, The bacon was horrible, the eggs werent cooked, the toast was cold and the worst part was we found glass in our eggs! We told them about this but they said it wasn't their problem and had to pay for it because we ate it! The waiters were rude and never even apologised for the glass in our food! Don't go here if you want to pay for a meal with glass in it! Oh&s?

We found this place in Steve Ricks' book and decided to give it a try. We were tired after our flight into Amsterdam and had a 6 o'clock ticket for the Anne Frank House and then it appeared. it is about 2 blocks before the AFHouse so it is certainly convenient if you are in the area. We had the large pancakes/ crepes which fill an entire plate. They come in sweet and savory varieties and one is more than enough for dinner. We had chorizo, cheese, bacon, pineapple, etc. on our 3 crepes....not all on the same one! Hard to decide because of all the types that are on the menu. Cups of coffee and hot chocolate are really small! The pancakes are about 12 to 14 euros, but everything is expensive in Amsterdam...and if was convenient as we then headed to our destination with a full stomach and had eaten in a place of legend!
