We stayed there for 3 nights and first booked it because of the location and the affordable price.
We were more than pleased with this guesthouse, the interior design is very nice, and the room had everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable. No need to say you can't get a better location (just check it on googlemaps and you'll understand!).
The only little thing that wasn't perfect was the shower, it didn't drain properly, but that was no big issue.
We liked the fact that breakfast (ham, cheese, butter, jam, fruits, fresh bread, tea and coffee) was actually ready everyday in the room (breakfast table / coffee machine / kettle and food all in the room). So there is no pressure (you can have it whenever) and I enjoyed the privacy (being able to have breakfast in my pyjamas!). Also, we could make coffee or hot tea even in the afternoon after walking in the cold or in the rain (or both!). :)
The host, Ken, is really nice and flexible. He let us use the room even late in the afternoon on our departure day, as no one was coming after. So we could leave our luggage in the room for the day and have another hot coffee before leaving!
PS : we picked the cheaper room that doesn't have the view on the canal, and which only has a very small window and no view. But if we could have afforded it, I would have definitely gone for the one with the canal view! It would have been great to wake up and have breakfast while watching boats and bike going along the canal...
