Lovely old fashioned style house, but has all the amenities. Bedroom en suite immaculate. And the nicest of all: a wonderful hostess who I did not see at all but knew she was there for help/advice. Bij-de-Amstel is exactly what it says on the tin - on the river amstel. So you get the lovely old Dutch buildings/churches yet within 2 minutes walk you can get the metro to anywhere. Wonderful - I'll be there next time.

The price is absolutely right, the service was great and the location excellent. Very close to the metro and a five to eight minute walk to any tram line, this was a real find on our last trip to Amsterdam. Coffee machine, a REAL bathtub and total privacy made it one of our favourite places to stay. You won't be disappointed. Internet works great and there's a fridge too.

We had a nice stay in this comfortable B&B. The stairs are steep, but the room (Bed&Kitchen) is very clean and complete. It has a basic kitchen with all necessary appliances, a spacious bathroom, TV, double bed.
This B&B is not located in the city centre, but is very close to a metro and tram station so it is easy to get there.
There's also a supermarket just around the corner which is very handy if you want to cook yourself one night.
Because the owners have a job too, we couldn't enter the room until 6pm on the day of arrival. This was however compensated by a discount. We left our suitcases in the lockers at the central station. They are safe and there is always security.
We could also leave our suitcases over there on the day of departure until we needed them to leave in the evening.

We arreived in Amsterdam with the idea to experience what living in this beautiful city is like still doing some tourist things, so I'm very happy to say that this lovely Bed&Kitchen was perfect . We are a little family with 5 years old boy who loved our "amsterdam house" very much. Not far from the centre and in a beatiful neighborhood so close to the Amstel, the best thing was riding our bikes every morning to the city center, hanging around, discovering all quarters, and having the feeling to go back home at the end of the day. The B&B is also near to different restaurants and a daily market (just on the other side of the river) so you can choose to go out for dinner or stay in and cook something.
The atmosphere is relaxed, the owner is very kind and a good adviser on city opportunities, too. Thanks to her we discovered the most beautiful museum in town.

We spent four beautiful days
The location is perfect, close to the center, but out of crowdy turistic circuits, in a charming old building
Both rooms were quiet
The room was with a large, confortable bathroom and the possibility to make some tea/coffee when wanted
The bed&kitchen room was with a fully equiped kitchen, a great opportunity to increase the comfort of our stay
The hosts were very efficient to let us have a better stay
We reccomend

We couldn't check in until 6 PM which left us out in the cold for a while. The room was lovely, warm, and the bath was excellent. Gracious hosts and quiet location.
Stairs are not for the weak or scaredy.

The room is confrotable and it has a nice bathroom. Breakfast is not included, but there are some kitchen tools available for you to prepare your own food. Is a really calm neighbourhood but is far from the center. There´s no wifi and the room isn´t cleaned every day. We expected to be treated more warmly but it was really unpersonal. We expected more form this B&B.
