“always interesting to stay here”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Great fun place to stay - the whole experience of getting here from the Central Railway Station is just very different from the usual taxi ride - You get on a boat to get to the Botel !
Rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable
Staff are always friendly and helpful
Breakfast is good and there is also small bar which is open until 12.45am
Just 1 thing though - if you miss the last ferry to the Botel you have to take another ferry which takes you to a bus stop and there you will wait for the Minibus from the Botel to collect you. Be warned that the minibus can only take so many so if you are at the back of the queue then you will have to wait until it returns for you.
Definitely recommend to travellers as a 1st time hotel to stay in Amsterdam

Room Tip: it is in a quiet part of town so nightly noise is not a problem

114 Euros for 3 nights. Small rooms, fairly comfortable, OK bar and a nice outside deck.

Breakfast is basic and busy later in the morning, so tables are piled with finished dishes. The ferry ride back and forth to Centraal Station adds a good hour onto your travel into town, once you include waiting times, and the ferry doesn't run after midnight so you have to get an expensive taxi, or an alternative ferry and a shuttle bus, which takes ages.

We paid € 84 for 1 night in this hotel on a Thursday night and for this money you can find far beter hotels in Amsterdam. The room is very small with 2 separate beds and the smallest bathroom. My room was very dirty with even stains on the ceiling. The hotel is located in the north of Amsterdam which is fine if you need to be there but if you want to visit Amsterdam you should look for a hotel on the other side of the water

the botel provides a comfortable clean place to stay handy to the central station,10min on a free ferry from the back of the station. the botel is alongside its own dock and very easy to board English is no problem and the bar provides snacks and stuff if you don't wish to go out also good beer in the bar !! the room we had was a bit dated but was clean and serviced daily the bathroom was what you get on a ferry or train what we described as fun size!! quite useable but not a lot of room. breakfast was good plenty of choice and only one fault that was the toaster an automatic thing that takes its time and causes a blockage in the way of the coffee machine!! we will stay again on our next visit to Amsterdam.

Room Tip: floor 2 or 3 facing outside is free from the quayside where smokers sometimes sit

It's no oil painting. Very dated but cheap as chips and very clean. Breakfast was lovely and lots to choose from and buffet style so you can fill your boots.
If you get sea sick however this is not for you, for at least an hour after getting off the boat I felt like I was rocking from side to side. Would defiantly stay again. :D
