Description: Quincy Jones sang a song about it, Iris Molkenboer named her company after it. Razmataz, bar, coffee saloon, restaurant and EnSuite, a chain of warm, cosy areas, all in a living room setting, without any fuss but with lots of love for you as a guest! And it shows. As soon as you walk in the friendly staff welcomes you, as well as the aroma of freshly roasted coffee and the homemade cakes. The restaurant serves you breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the dishes are well balanced and with pure ingredients. The bar of Razmataz is famous as it was one of the first Gin & Tonic bars in Amsterdam. More than 50 types of Gin are served and it specializes in Vermouth as well.

“Very nice, bit pricy”
Reviewed 26 April 2014 via mobile

Nice place, good food, friendly staff. Bit on the price though. Good place to go to if you want to eat a bit out of the crowdiness of the centre

“Long wait ...just ok food”
Reviewed 21 February 2014

Very friendly staff. Ordered menu du jour. duck breast as a main course. Salade starter was superb but it took soooooooo long to arrive! Main of duck was very very poor. Skin was "blubbery" as a result of not being properly cooked. Meat was on the tough side and came with a very thin and watery sauce. My desert was to be a Creme brûlée , however it was served warm with a cold top. After nearly 3 hours in total the bill came to €116 for three with a glass of wine each and one beer.
Such a pity that the really nice and friendly front of house staff were let down bit time but the kitchen. Next time ........well , for me there will not be a next time.

“Good service let down by mediocre food”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

Firstly, the bar is lovely; cosy and with a great selection of drinks so coming here for a refreshing beverage is highly recommended. The food, however, is sadly lacking. The service was friendly and knowledgeable of the dishes, but the server's descriptions turned out to be far more appetizing than the actual meals. Our starters were big but just ok, and our mains not great. Lamb was rather dry and my ravioli was really not very good, to the point where I took one piece and immediately sent it back for being extremely sweet. Sending it back resulted in poor service from that point forward (being ignored) and I was not happy to order a replacement dish as the first one took such a long time to come and I was pretty hungry, and also we felt extremely unwelcome at that point so wanted to leave. The uneaten ravioli remained firmly on the bill, and after much discussion, the waitress grudgingly took 2 small glasses of cider off of our bill (a total of approximately 8 euro). The service just went from being really great to really poor as soon as I expressed a polite view that the food was really not up to par in one of the dishes. I'd rather spend half the money and go to one of the many decent places in the surrounding area. Finish with a drink here, but save your food-money for somewhere else.

“Great place to eat!”

Delicious food! Friendly service! A restaurant to go more than once! Highly recommend the steak tartar and the fig dessert.

“You can do better near here”
Reviewed 28 July 2013

This place looks better than it is. The food is not great and the service is arrogant and rude. I would recommend the Turkish place (Orontes West) across the square.
