Description: On the 11th February 2006, Restaurant Te Pas was opened by its founders, the brothers Evert and Hugo Te Pas, who offer a primarily French menu that has been infused with a few international influences. With one in the kitchen and the other in the restaurant, they have created a professional but relaxed atmosphere. As this restaurant is situated near the Leidsche Plein and the Museumplein, it is an ideal place for you to combine your dinner with a visit to the theatre, the Concertgebouw, the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum.

The menu was creative, and perfectly prepared. The waitress and the owner were attentive and very friendly. We actually went back a second night, which we rarely do on one trip. There are literally hundreds of restaurants in this four block area, but few are of this quality.

We stopped off outside at this nice looking little restaurant for a sit down in the nice sun for a cup of coffee. I had to make a trip to the toilet, which was through the restaurant at the far end. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and cleanliness. A few people were eating lunch and all the food looked very nice. The toilets were very clean and I would definitely come back and try a meal based on this overall appearance and relaxed atmosphere.

Went here last week. Smaller restaurant with a nice atmosphere for a romantic dinner.
We had the four course surprise dinner with wine pairings. Good fresh ingredients and good size portions. The starter and fish course were great, however the Osso Busso dish was way too oversalted and broght down the dinner - The desert was also not something to write home about considering the french theme. However the service was top and there were never an issue - I feel it was a little overpriced for what you got, but one positive thing about the wine pairings, is that they were not afraid to refill which we often do not experience in other places. It is a worth a visit, but we will most likely not return.

Lovely, friendly atmosphere; great service; excellent wine and fabulous food! We opted for the 4 course "surprise" menu which was an inspired idea for people like us who will eat just about anything and like to experiment. We will definitely return - probably sooner rather than later!

I went with friends who live in Amsterdam and they suggested we should try te Pas. I was very pleased with their choice. We hadn't got a reservation but there were a couple of tables free and they were able to fir us in. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. There were 3 of us and we couldn't make up our minds what to have so we had the 5 course tasting menu. Each course came with a new glass of wine to complement the food being presented. Every course was delicious and the wine was excellent. In a town full of great restaurants I bet this is one of the best.
