While on a trip to Amsterdam with my sisters we stumbled upon Kop van Jut. It is a very tiny, dark, little restaurant located in a very busy, restaurant area between the Rijksmuseum, Heineken and the Casino. You could easily walk right past it. We liked the restaurant so much we ate there 2 nights in a row. Chef Ivo offers innovative food, carefully prepared. We had the most delicious cauliflower soup and tomato soup. Great steak and pork schnitzel. Special on the second night was dungeness crab cakes, prepared differently to what we are used to in the US but absolutely delicious. Our servers, Eva and Nuria were also terrific. This restaurant was a great find that I heartily recommend and would be pleased to return to.
