It was already our second stay in Astrid's wonderful little cottage within a peaceful and blooming garden. We just love it there! This time we visited Amsterdam with our one year old and living in Astrid's tastefully furnished lodge was as relaxing as the first time. Again we discovered the city again on bikes which we had borrowed from Astrid. A baby seat was also no problem. Riding by bike through the beautiful vondelpark it takes you only about 15 minutes into the centre. Also the equipment is well chosen: a fridge, a very good coffee machine, lots of guides and current event tips etc.) Astrid was as the first time a very friendly, uncomplicated and attentive host. We will come again - for sure!!! See you soon!

My girlfriend and I had such a fantastic stay here and this was not only down to how nice Flores and Puck's actually is but also how kind, helpful and accommodating Astrid (the host) is. If you are looking for somewhere homely that makes you feel like you just live in Amsterdam then this is the place for you. It is a lovely, private little lodge at the bottom of a quiet garden and is a joy to come back to after a long day exploring Amsterdam. We both rented bikes from Astrid for only €2 a day and it is a very scenic bike ride into the centre which takes you through Vondel Park and only takes about 15 minutes. Also, there are shops and restaurants within walking distance if you do not want to go into town. Everything in the accommodation is new and works perfectly as well as there being lots of extra things that also add to your stay (a fridge, a really good hair dryer, lots of guide books to Amsterdam, a tv with BBC!) The only downside to writing this review is that I am worried that more people will now stay there and it might be booked up for the next time we come back! Thanks again Astrid and we will hopefully see you again soon

What a wonderful time my wife and I had during our recent visit to Amsterdam. After experiencing all the vibrancy and excitement that Amsterdam had to offer, we returned every night to our quiet, hidden oasis at Flores and Puck. Our host Astrid provided us with a bounty of crystal clear information prior to our arrival and through out our stay, from how to get to her garden Bed and Breakfast to up-to-date activities and events going on in the city during our visit. We easily traveled to our many historic destinations via the public tram or bus stop, located right around the corner from Flores and Puck, or by enjoying the relaxing walk through Vondelpark. Our secret garden getaway was comfortable and clean, where we found great service and every accommodation need met. By the way, don't expect to lunch after one of Astrid's bountiful breakfasts. You will be well nourished until dinner.

If you would like a quiet homey stay in a great neighborhood away from the tourist crowds, this is the place. One of the things we enjoyed the most is that they provide bicycles for you to use. GREAT! So you don't have to worry about rental fees by the hour. Astrid is a lovely host with great travel tips, maps and thrifty suggestions. Public Transportation is easy enough to take from the train station or Schipol. The cottage is only large enough for a tidy couple. Very comfortable!

My wife and I had a terrific time in Amsterdam in May 2012 - lovely weather helped us to enjoy its character and attractions to the full. At the end of each of our four days, we returned to Astrid and Flores and Puck with pleasure, knowing that we were "going home" to her welcome and her charming garden cabin. With her advice, we enjoyed some excellent dinners nearby. We looked forward to her appearance each morning with breakfast, the remains of which we happily pillaged for our lunches. Highly recommended!

We could not have been more pleased with our stay! The accoommodations are not only adorable, quaint and comfortable....but Astrid was an exceptional host! She provided detailed information prior to our stay that enabled us to take public transportation from Schipol Airport to her B&B without a problem. She also assisted us in making arrangements for our lost luggage (YIKES!) to be delivered the next day so we could go on and explore the city without spending a day waiting on the delivery! We sooo appreciated it! In addition, she helped us make train reservations, find lovely places to walk, eat and visit. The cottage is located in a safe quiet area within walking distance of the main attractions of Amsterdam. She served a wonderful breakfast every morning with more than an ample amount of food and included baggies in case we wanted to pack lunch as well! Flores and Puck is definitely the perfect place to stay if you like comfort and care! Astrid knows how to take care of her guests....and we hope to return one day! Highly recommended!

Flores & Puck is a charming accommodation near the Vondelpark. It has everything needed for a comfortable homey stay in Amsterdam. It is close to public transportation and a great variety of restaurants, cafes, grocery and other shops. Astrid is a most excellent host, in our opinion. She emailed detailed directions from Schipol to her doorstep ahead of our trip. During out stay, she helped us with Kuekenhof Gardens online reservations, mapped out the best way to get there on a holiday (Queen's birthday, reduced public transportation schedule) and was always available with recommendations and conversation regarding tourist sights and with answers to any questions. Could not have had a more enjoyable stay in Amsterdam and I would want to stay at Flores & Puck in any future visit!
