“A nice street for vintage and design shops”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

Loved this street in Amsterdam, found it when walking towards Jordaan. It has a nice quirky feel to it. I loved the home stores which offered some quirky designs for Holland and Scandinavia. Also a good selection of vintage shops for home and clothes. Lots of place to get a quite bite or relax and have a bit and drink. Don't go too early as many shops open only after mid day. Also avoid Sundays and Mondays if you can as lots of the stores seemed to be closed then. Overall a good place to walk and window shop and pick up some fab things.

“Pretty much a shopping area”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

As such the place has nothing to it from a tourist point except for the myriad restaurants, shops and even a movie hall. But the place definitely has a different charm to it. The place can be visited while you are near the central station because the place lies between the jordaan and central station. Its nice place if you wants to shop or have a drink while in the area though there are various other option in my opinion.

“Lively and lovely”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

Lots of lovely shops, restaurants and bars here. Don't miss the old printing shop with the friendly owner. This street is busy, but only one block away is quiet and peaceful and leads straight into the Jordaan

“handy and meet locals”
Reviewed 1 March 2014

IN this long street you can find some very nice coffee places and some typical restos. a lot of shops selling everything. There is a cinema which is one of the oldest in the city. A lot of Music stores, coffee shops and rastafaries and asian people, giving the impression you are in a jamaican asian area in NY.
