“Great hotel”

This was a hotel I was very much impressed with. It was a bit expensive for the room I got, but seeing as I booked at only a few days in advance I can live with that. Location couldn't be better, right by the central station, as much downtown as you can get.

All though the room was little, it had a ton of charm and appeared very cleanly. The bed fit me exactly, but would have been too short for my man. That goes for the ceiling as well. A good thing I am short! The shower was a dream, and the complimentary shampoo and showersoap very fancy.

It also had a safe that was free of charge which was wide enough to accomodate laptops. Very nice!

The staff was very friendly and spoke English really well. All in all, I had a very good night at Hotel CC. Would use again.

My family & I had 2 rooms here & were amazed at how expensive it is! The location is excellent & the views are also great but the rooms are tiny & the hotel is poorly equipped. There is no wifi, our shower didn't drain, our bathroom door didn't open fully (because the bed was so close), it reeked of pot in the rooms & the hotel was super noisy all night long. If you're looking for a central location to crash in after hardcore partying, this is the place for you...if you want a retreat from the lively Amsterdam atmosphere, look elsewhere for this price!

Room Tip: Last-minute discount sites, we paid $75 for a $250

I needed a hotel near Centraal Station but didn't want to spend too much so selected this place. It was about 10 minutes walk from the station, right on the edge of the Red Light District, 'coffee shop' zone. I was expecting something like a hostel, which is the standard type of accommodation in this area.

However it was actually a really nice designer / boutique hotel. Looked very new. The room allocated was stylish, clean, with all comforts incl flat-screen, tea & coffee facilities, and a vast stack of pillows. Lovely en-suite bathroom. Good air-con.

I requested a 'small double' and it was indeed quite small. However it was perfectly adequate - quite cosy like a cabin in a ship.

Other reviews mentioned that not all rooms reachable by lift. Since I had heavy luggage I made sure to request a room near an elevator so this was not an issue.

The location is great. Although on the edge of the RLD this area is quite safe (but be aware of what to expect of the area as some travelers may feel uncomfortable - none I know personally though). Many touristic attractions nearby e.g., Dam Square area, canal-cruise docks. There are tram stops nearby for sights further afield. There is no restaurant (there is a 24 hour vending area) but there are numerous restaurants and bars nearby.

Only negative I can think of was that WiFi was not free. I think these days this people expect WiFi to be free and that's the only reason I'm marking down value a bit. There were a couple of free internet PCs in the basement, and Amsterdam is full of free WiFi hotspots anyway...

Room Tip: Opt for a larger room

My husband & I stayed here for 4 nights. We were really happy with our standard double room. It was so clean and the bed was super comfortable and big. There was no Wifi in the room but there were 2 free computers to use downstairs & printing was free! The staff on the reception were really helpful and gave their Aussie tourists some good tips and advice. We were in close proximity to Dam Square & the station & were very close to the red light district, no more than 5 mins walk to each of these. Highly reccommended.

i stayed her in february and other than the rain it was a lovely stay. i didnt find the hotel too easy but it was in the perfect location in the town centreon the street Warmoesstraat straight across from hunters bar( coffee shop), i had booked a large double for an extra fee and requested a bath and only got the room as this was the only room with a bath as standard, when i arrived they were very friendly and were aware of my request but we could not check in at the time we were assured that our room would be ready soon enough, when we arrived back we were checked into our room to see that it was a small double with no bath so i went back down to reception to complain at first i was told there was nothing they could do and after a few mins of complaining i was given another room which was definitly a large double compared to the last room with a large bathroom with a bath and seperate shower, very nice room with everything you could need spotless clean very comfortable bed, awful view looking out on to the air condtioning unit which was a bit noisey but didnt bother me, they do not have a resturant but have fridges of food like yogarts sanwiches subs and drinks that you can buy and microwave to use, its not a hotel that you will have great atmosphere in but its so clean and comfortable at a good price its hard to find this in the city centre, if i was going back i would definitly stay here quiet clean and comfy all you need!!

go to the amsterdam dungeons very good and so funny!

Room Tip: get a large room its worth it!

This hotel is in a really good location, close public transportation, the main train station is right there. It is in on a popular street and is busy at night. The hotel itself is ok, no thrills. Small room, weird hotel layout, lots of up and down stairs that are strange. The lobby is more like a disco tech... blue neon lights.
No breakfast
IF you don't like busy noisy roads, this is not the place for you.

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of April and had a great time. Everything about this place - the location, the cleanliness, the staff were all top drawer however the only thing to bring this down having been there is the cost. Not very competitive and small double room is really small!
