“As enjoyable than 3 years ago”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2013

In our second trip to Amsterdam, we had dinner at this restaurant. We were a party of four and we had the same great experience than three years ago. The food was very good, the staff was attentive and friendly. Our table was in a small private area which was great for conversation. We highly recommend this restaurant which is unpretencious and simply very good. It did not feel like a hotel restaurant!

“Good lunch”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2013 via mobile

Had an allright lunch with nice wine. However, staff is low on service. Needed to be called upon several times before someone noticed we needed attention. Free wifi for only 30 minutes with reduced speed. Anno 2013 this is to be laughed about. Calling yourself a business hotel without reasonable free wifi is unthinkable. You get punished if you don't have a room but come to eat, you're internetconnection is slower.
So not only the internet is slow, staff is as well.

“Good food and friendly staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

By husband and I had lunch in this restaurant last Saturday during a stopover in Amsterdam. We had the special open sandwich and a glass of wine offer. This was very good. We then had a terrific desert and coffee and tea.
This is a lovely restaurant to visit after the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam on a Saturday. The staff are particularly friendly and I would definately recommend it for lunch or dinner.

“Great breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2013

I enjoyed breakfast here as part of my stay at Hotel Pulitzer. It was efficient and delicious buffet with a good assortment of fresh fruit, pastries, cheeses, meats, as well as eggs, dutch pancakes, bacon, breads, juices...

The mini pain au chocolates were devilishly good. I couldn't stop eating them.

My only complaint would be that the spread was identical from day to day. Not a major complaint because it was delicious and included a good variety, but one to be aware of.

I can't speak to the value as the breakfast was included in my stay at the Hotel Pulitzer and I don't know how much they normally charge for breakfast. My impression, however, is that it is on the expensive side. I ate enough each day to carry me through dinner, however.

“Excellent choice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 September 2013

An extremely well priced, albeit limited wine list kicks off a solid menu with offerings in every category. We opted for carpaccio, soup and salad. The use of a nice sharp dutch cheese to replace the traditional parmesan was good, and carried well, as did the caramelized onions. Steaks and lamb were done flawlessly, tender and well-seasoned. Dessert was traditional (and perhaps worth trading in for a good port instead.

Overall meal was well paced, not rushed and service was attentive and engaging. Well worth the price for lovely ambience and location.
