Michelle made this tour an excellent experience - despite the snow and cold! The walk is well paced and informative. She showed us historical photos of the streets we were standing in which really brought the past to life. I definitely recommend this tour.

Came across this tour by accident when on a weekend trip to Amsterdam. Decided to go on a whim, but what a choice! Thoroughly enjoyable and informative while still being sombre and respectful of the subject in question. Peter was an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable about the city and the history of the war in Holland and in Amsterdam. He was really friendly and funny and after the tour made sure everyone got back to their hotel ok, as well as some great restaurant recommendations. Would recommend the tour very highly, excellent.

We had Michelle on a cold snowy day, but it was a great way to see the geography and history of the city and the time flew by. She is knowledgeable and interesting, and being English was able to add another perspective to the story of Amsterdam. One of the highlights of our trip.

We took the walking tour on a very cold day in late November. Like the weather that day, the information is chilling. As you follow Peter through the streets and neighborhoods that were once home to the Dutch Jews murdered by the Nazis, the collaborators, the Dutch resistance movement, and the people who endured the Occupation, Peter explains the events and points out exactly where they occurred. The tour starts at the Boat House near the Anne Franck House and ends at the Museum dedicated to the Jews who never returned. Take it. It is well worth it.
