Description: Our bread is made today exactly as it was in the beginning: with only organic stone-ground flour, salt, and water, kneaded and shaped by hand and baked in a hearth under the watchful eye of artisan bakers. We insist on the freshest and finest ingredients. If we can't find them, we make them ourselves. Our shelves are lined with the products we've created: the jams and chocolate spreads on the communal table, the granola in your parfait, the coffee that fills your bowl.

“Food excellent, but could do with better service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2012

The food here was delicious and definitely fresh, with many healthy choices of salads as well as more substantial baguettes, pies, quiches and so on. The service was a little slow and we sometimes had to wave to get some attention, although the staff was polite once we got their attention. Otherwise, the ambiance is calming and full of light. An overall pleasant experience.

This place was lovely. We had brunch here twice and the food was great and very fresh. Would definitely recommend. Service was good. We sat outside both times and it was very relaxing

“Perfect little cafe for the neighbourhood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2012 via mobile

We were staying in the neighbourhood for 6 days and were glad to find this place. We ended up going back 3 times. Nice leisurely way about it. Bar at the window was our favorite spot. Good coffee and decent pastries. Nice patio on the corner was great for people-watching. The staff here are all lovely and cheerful - they make you love Dutch girls!

“Lovely place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 January 2012

The waitstaff and manager are absolutely outstanidng. The food is great. I like the fact that they have a nice long reading table. Excellent for those who come by themselves to read a newspaper. One of their menuitems is the High Tea, which I can recommend. It is a bit pricey, but sort of worth it.
