5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

Bees B & B is only a short walk from the hustle and bustle of this vibrant city but so restful and quiet. This old Dutch style house is lovely and the apartment warm bright modern and clean.
Brigitte and Hans were very welcoming and helpful provided lots of local information maps discount cards etc. Breakfast and the fully stocked fridge was also great.
Would recommend this B & B to anybody.
Hope to return soon.

We have just returned from a wonderful break in Amsterdam which was made all the more perfect because we had chosen to stay at Bees B&B. The studio appt is in an old canal house on a very pretty canal. This oasis of calm is only 10mins stroll from the bustle of Dam Square. Hans and Brigitte could not have been more welcoming or helpful, providing us with lots of local information (ask Hans where to buy the most delicious apple cake!). The studio is spotlessly clean, warm and the enormous bed is wonderfully comfortable. The breakfast was quite delicious and the selection of cereals, yogurts, cold meats, cheeses, eggs, fresh fruit, bread, croissants, fresh orange juice and coffee! ! set us up for the day. Amsterdam is a beautiful city and we hope to return one day and when we do we hope there will be room for us at Bees. Thank you Hans and Brigitte

Beautiful, very modern studio apartment in an old building in the Jordaan district. No details overlooked...modern, bright, clean bathroom, comfy big bed, perfectly sized small kitchen area. Could use some better lights for reading in bed. Host, Hans, was very charming, informative and accommodating but not at all intrusive. An issue with the shower was quickly resolved with a bottle of wine, many apologies and a plumber. Breakfast was lovely, and tailored to my needs.
Great neighbourhood, easy to walk everywhere or catch a tram. Lots of cafes and restaurants. As a solo traveller, it was the perfect choice for me.

We loved our stay at Bees B&B! The owners were so helpful - provided maps, discount cards and "local knowledge" suggestions for Amsterdam. The room was beautiful - warm, stylish, massive comfortable bed. Food provided was excellent - I was especially impressed by the fresh local breads/cheeses/salamis and the squeezed orange juice in the morning! Location is unbeatable - right in the heart of the city - amazing scenery and awesome shopping and eating on the doorstep. All in all it was a highlight of our entire Euro tour! Thanks so much for looking after us so well. Kind regards Jess and Adam.

The apartment is set away from the noisy touristy centre but still just 5 minutes from Dam Square. and a stones throw from Anne Frank house. On arrival Brigitte showed us on a map all of the local sights and places worth visiting including small non tourist swamped pubs and a traditional market just 10 minutes away that we went to on the saturday. The Apartment was stocked with Beer, Cheese and Ham on arrival and the kitchen had everything we needed in it. We even cooked in it one night and it was not a problem at all. I would advise this accommodation to anyone over hotels as you feel you have your own space. There is plenty of tourist information books in the room so you can plan exactly what to do. The apartment was clean and lovely and the breakfast every morning set us up perfectly for big days out.
I would recommend Bees B&B to anyone and would 100% stay here again.

We went for a 3 night city break in the lead up to Christmas, and wanted somewhere in the middle of an attractive part of Amsterdam, close on foot to all the museums markets and sights. The apartment was warm and comfortable, within a residential canal-side building. A charming location, made all the better with Brigitte's kindness and hospitality. Really enjoyed the freshly juiced oranges and fruit and rolls in the mornings. Would recommend over a hotel provided you have no mobility issue (canal side houses have traditional steps)
