“An Absolute "Find"...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2011

Hidden in the back streets of residential Amsterdam, Tapas Feliz is well known amongst locals as the place to go for a fabulous array of tempting tapas. You are made to feel very welcome (even if you aren't local) and need to keep going back for more of their delectable dishes. A brilliant range of hot and cold tapas at reasonable prices, completed by a varied wine list - also very affordable. A great find for those willing to go further afield than the centre of town.

Had a pleasant evening with friends. Good food, simple wine and a very cosy relaxed atmosphere.

“Amazing food, friendly service and nice neighborhood place.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 July 2011

My husband and I walked past this restaurant spot daily between the Hilton Hotel and the Emmastraat Tram station. The people outside looked like they were enjoying their meals and it seemed like a relaxed casual atmosphere. We had not intended to eat here but while walking back from the tram station to the hotel, we were hungry and stopped in for some food and a beer. SO GLAD WE DID! This was a great place to enjoy some very good food and take in the neighborhood. We went inside to get a menu to look at and they had one in English as this really is not a tourist destination. They had a blackboard with nightly specials posted and the server did not mind telling me what it said in English. Everything sounded so good but I knew we couldn't eat the whole menu so I asked the server to please pick out three tapas that she thought were the best that day. I told her we didn't want any lamb as a few items were lamb dishes. She made three great choices. The beef meatballs (4 of them) were very flavorful and the red sauce was very fresh. Then we had a tuna croquette (four of them too) They were deep fried but so good to eat. The final tapas was a spinach and blue cheese "eggroll" shaped pancake. That was the best of them all. (Three of them per order). I can only imagine how good the other things on the menu were if we had more time to go back there another day of our vacation. The pictures I took show the variety on the blackboard menu as well as they have a full printed menu with more items. The prices were very reasonable. Enough to share three dishes between two people and then get a dessert if you wanted. We had nibbled all day in the city and were too full to order dessert. This was the perfect place to sit and enjoy an Amstel beer while sharing some tapas with friends or family.

“The name of the place is true to its character”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2010

The proprietors commitment to creative, delicate, scrumptious cooking is evident in every bite. This place was an amazing surprise for us. We stumbled upon it and are not sure what made us sit down but from the first taste we realized that we found something very special. Every dish was excellent! Words will not suffice to explain this food – you better experience it for yourself
