Owner description: Visit the hiding place where Anne Frank wrote her diary during the Second World War. From 9 AM to 3:30 PM the museum is only open to visitors with an online ticket for a particular timeslot. Tickets are made available on the website two months in advance. The Anne Frank House is a small museum with limited capacity. The demand for tickets is far greater than the number available. If you are unable to buy an online ticket, you can always from 3:30 PM until closing time visit the museum and buy a ticket at the museum entrance.

“Bloody long queues, even in the late evening in cold and rain”
Reviewed 28 July 2012

We couldn't wait in the long... queue as it was very cold and wet and we got soaked, but there's a church nearby where you can go to relax and there's a tower which you can Climb with a tour, I think, for 7 euro. O a clear day you can see a lot of Amstedam as it's very tall.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed 28 July 2012

Felt we could not go to Amsterdam and not see this venue. Had to queue for half an hour, but that is only to be expected. Don't go in if you have walking difficulties or are clausterphobic!

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 28 July 2012

Buy your tickets in advance if possible it's well worth it as the queues are long. I found it very moving (actually quite upsetting) and the atmosphere has been preserved with great care and the numbers allowed in at any one time makes it possible to be in your own 'space'.

“Very interesting and enjoyable”
Reviewed 28 July 2012

Great insight to an account of Anne Frank's life during the war. Videos and abstracts on display were very informative. Queue time was about 30mins to get in, which was ok. Bookshop sells a range of books and of course the Diary in numerous languages. A great experience!

No visit to Amsterdam would be complete without a visit to this historical site. Very well maintained
