Owner description: This charming neighborhood is Amsterdam's Greenwich Village, with its narrow alleys, leafy canals lined with 17th-century houses, quirky specialty shops, cafes and designer boutiques.

rest quieter area of Amsterdam to bike around. We really enjoyed grabbing dinner and eating along one of the canals.

you can walk to this location. it is where the Ann Frank house is located. We didn't want to pay and stand in line to go and see the inside so we just walked to it, took a picture outside. Nice beautiful day, no need to go and spend it standing in line to go see a house!!

....for a relaxing night with the locals in the Jordaan! We had a great time singing along with the Dutch songs and we blended in with the locals without any problems.

This is our favourite area of Amsterdam. It is very pretty with lovely houses and shops and surprisingly leafy. There is a great buzz to the place but without all the tackiness of the RLD or other parts of Amsterdam. We have stayed in apartments here twice and really like this area.

The best thing to do to see this area is to have your walking shoes on and do lots of exploring. There are so many interesting artistic shops and old pubs. Go in and experience a cafe with different culture and art. The Jordan started back in the 1700 and is very historical. Look at the old buildings especially up the top and the shape. Love this area for different cafés and artistic venues.
