Owner description: This charming neighborhood is Amsterdam's Greenwich Village, with its narrow alleys, leafy canals lined with 17th-century houses, quirky specialty shops, cafes and designer boutiques.

Great area to explore for both interesting architecture, local scene, and shopping. It is worth strolling through for an hour or two . . .

I liked the lively streets, cosy shops, elegance and peaceful relaxed people. Houses seemed worth living, would liike to live there myself.

It's been about a year since I was last in Amsterdam. One of the first things I did on this most recent trip was to head back to the Jordaan. It is, without question, my favorite part of the city. The architecture, shops, cafés, and views in this section of town are unsurpassed. It also contains what I consider to be the most beautiful small canal in Amsterdam - Egelantiersgracht. A visit to this beautiful city would not be complete without spending some time soaking in the Jordaan.

One of many nice areas to walk around in. Lots of things to watch and enjoy both for camera and eyes. The famous Anna Frank House is also here.
