Owner description: In the heart of Amsterdam's bustling centre lies one of the city's oldest museums: Museum Our Lord in the Attic. Here visitors get to experience the Dutch Golden Age in a special way: a 17th-century house with a top floor converted into a Catholic church.

Not for everyone but if you're interested in history and culture then it's worth the visit. A beautiful church hidden in the attic of 3 houses and you really don't expect to see such a big church hidden behind what seems to be a small house. Included in the ticket is an audio guide which is easy to use and really informative. The museum isn't too busy so you have the freedom to explore the different floors and areas at your own pace.

“Very Interesting Place ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014 via mobile

This very historic place of religious significance (Roman Catholic) is well worth a visit. The audio guide is one of the best I have ever experienced, in that it doesn't overload with facts and figures. Although on the small side, it has as it strength its simplicity.

If you are wandering thru the Red light district and would like a different type of attraction check out this church located on the top floor of a residence. Admission includes headphones for a self guided tours. Be aware that there are several very steep staircases that you will need to climb...overall anuce place...allow about an hour

We visited here on the suggestion of a friend and loved it. Very small attraction that was not crowded. Fascinating little church. Great audio guide (included with admission) really explained the history of the church. Highly recommend.

“Really interesting!”

I loved this place. It was so interesting learning the history from the audio guides. The ornate church is amazing and it is astounding that it was hidden in the top of the house.
