Is 4.50 EURO expensive for a bag of chips? Yes perhaps, but these chips make all the difference. These are tasty, fresh (there is always a queue) and I think they've achieved some kind of cult status? I don't know what tjey fry them in but they are fried at least twice and are very crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, just like chips should be. THey serve nothing but chips here, and a few softdrinks. This is basically a tiny takeaway. Nowhere to sit in Voetbogenstraat, I tend to wander tot eh Spui and the little square with benches then soak up all that grease with a beer in one of the terrace pubs in Spuistraat. You have to try at least once. They're open daily but close quite early, so get there before they're all gone.
