I really loved everything about this hotel. Every single member of staff we encountered was extremely friendly and welcoming. The location was very convenient, easy to get to and from the airport and also great for sightseeing, only a short walk from all the major tourist attractions. There was a large range of delicious food for breakfast, and very high quality food offered in both the Lobby Bar and City Cafe. The views from the Skylounge Bar are stunning (although the drinks were a little out of our price range...). The room was extremely comfortable, woke up feeling so well-rested every morning. Loved having the iMac and the wifi access as well. Would definitely love to come back at some point.

Room Tip: Club Balcony rooms have fantastic views.

There were some real pluses to this hotel: (1)Location is right next to Central Station so whether it was trains, buses, canal boats, bikes...everything was right there. (2)You are in easy walking distance to just about everything. (3)Hotel staff is exceptional and also very helpful in planning your entertainment and sight seeing. (4)Fitness room was adequate. (5)Rooms were very clean and well maintained. (6)Rooftop Lounge was extraordinary. (7)You have an option of adding breakfast into your rate. (8)Coffee service is complimentary and in your room. (9)Free wifi that is fast (10)Mac Computer in your room which allowed for tv watching to internet sleuthing. (11)Views from the room was very nice.

But.... The train noise is significant and quite evident. The rooms seemed to have good sound proofing, but we were at this location a week....for the first few days we did OK and then it became very irritating. The hotel is very contemporary in its decorating style and so does not give you that "comfort" sink into a chair feel. I would not make this hotel my first choice for a "resting" vacation, but it was great for sightseeing. We were on a "resting" and sightseeing vacation. I gave this hotel a 3 because it was not a restful place to stay.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the other side of the train tracks.

This is a fantastic hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the city. We rented bikes and cycled out to the country from the hotel which was very scenic and a must do! The hotel is brand new and in great condition. The two highlights were the full breakfast in the morning which was fantastic with excelent service, the other was the spectacular views from the SkyLounge a definate must see even if you are not staying in this hotel. We will definately be back again.

Mint hotel stands up to its name; it was in Mint condition in all aspects. The rooms were amazing with great views over the railway station and a new canal, one could spend hours just watching the trains go by and boats/ferries scurry across the canal from your room window. The rooms are well furnished with all modern amenities including an iMAC with over 30 TV channels from 5 different countries! The iMAC is ideal for surfing net, emails etc too. The sky lounge is beautiful but a bit expensive; everything is new, shiny and clean. One has to use their key card to active the lift too!
The staff are helpful and always offering advice on things to do or see.
I cannot think of anything negative to say except the cost, breakfast is 24 Euros but what can I say other than ‘you pay for what you get’.
I have travelled extensively especially as a child/teenager, but this was the first and only hotel to ask for a credit card deposit to stay there in addition to the room rent. Who could blame them it is in Amsterdam!

Room Tip: Please ask for a room on the 9th floor at the front of the hotel as it has a better view.

Had to take a point off for the service. Waited at the reception to check in for 15 min as a couple of the reception staff were flirting with someone not even looking like a client. The staff in the restaurant was a bit slow too. Apart from this, it is an amazing hotel. Very conveniently located right next to the central station and whithin minutes from the main sights. Newly build, stylish, clean and modern hotel. Macs in every room! And the top rooms have an amazing view over the city centre. The price was very reasonable for the hotel of this level as well. Will definitely return!

Room Tip: Go for a City Club with a balcony, great views of Amsterdam

Quick trip to Amsterdam and a stay over at The Mint. Great location, fab views, especially from the roof top cocktail bar where they serve a wicked 'Champagne Super Nova'. Informative, friendly staff with good knowledge of local restaurants. I dined at CASTELL, a famous B.B.Q.restaurant that lived up to it's reputation. On the whole The Mint is a well located, clean and tasteful place to stay.

Room Tip: Overlooking the canal
