“tour guide ruined it”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2012

it was really interesting but the tour guide ruined it.
the way that the tour guide described it and being really sarcastic ruined the tour. he was really boring and was just trying to be funny. because some of us dont like football and wasnt interested in certain parts he said he wasnt going to show us some of the stadium because we werent interested or bothered.

he even took us outside into the cold and nearly let us get ran over because he didnt want to show anything as we were getting put off by the attitude of him. our tutor was the one who notified him so say there was a truck whose trying to get past.

he also said he was going to cut the tour short. again because of us. my tutor complained.

inside was nice however, we went into the bit where aparently the queen opened. we also went inot the players bit, it was really high quality stuff with all the trophys and things in.

“A good tour, very interesting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2012

My lad and I are football mad and he loves touring football stadia. The tour itself was good - you go pitchside, into the hospitality suites then down to the changing rooms, tunnel area and press room.

However, other tours give you a little more of a feel of the inner workings of the arenas. We were only able to walk down a corridor past the changing rooms and peer inside rather than enter, and our guide (Daniel - he was excellent!) said that normally we weren't allowed into the tunnel.

Also, the museum was closed for refurbishment, which was a shame, but couldn't be helped. Still, having gone to the Ajax Experience on Rembrandt Square and decided not to enter as it appeared to have very little in terms of content despite an expensive entry price, you're much better coming to the arena itself if you're interested in football.

Overall, I'd give it three and a half if I could - not quite very good, but better than average.

“For any football fan”

My fiancée enjoyed this tour a lot, especially as we went the day after Man Utd had won there - for me, who does not like football at all, did find it interesting.

“It could have been better!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 September 2011

We were very excited before visitting Amsterdam Arena, the World of Ajax, though we are not exactly their fans. Seems we were expecting too much. The tour itself was guided by 2 girls. Their English was fine, we visitted some interesting parts of the stadium, but missed, don't understand why, one of the most interesting and attractive ones - the dressing room of Ajax. The fan-shop also was a kind of disappointment... Somehow, you definitely expect a little(!) more from such Empire as Ajax is. the tour itself cost eur10.5 (we bought the ticket in one of the tourist agencies at Dam Street (seems it's a littlecheaper, than buying it at the stadium itself.

“Don't listen to that review”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2011

Yes the museum is closed but you are told this before you go on the tour so it's up to you if you go on it. I found it interesting you get to walk round the stadium see the players lounge and press room and get a photo took next to the pitch which is €6 so isn't bad. The lad that took us round never stopped talking from the minute we set off until the tour finished, he knew all about the stadium and club and had a answer for every question we asked well worth a visit
