Wouter was an excellent host and the room was clean and nice and spacious just like the pictures. Its easy to get around and we loved hanging out in Vondelpark and I loved picking up the fresh bread outside my door each day and to make my fiance coffe and bread with various things like cheese jam or meat.
Wouter answered all the questions we had and was always friendly.

Note though that there is a street with the same name in Central amsterdam so if you go there get a map along and make sure you are near Vondelpark and make sure that the taxi driver don't take you to the wrong street like he did with my fiance.

Room Tip: All rooms are nice but the red one is slightly bigger then the black that we stayed in.

Nicely designed and perfectly equipped and clean , a great place to stay with home-like feeling. Very nice and helpful host, the hospitality was brilliant. Location is good although not in the centre (tram stop is just 3-minute walk). 20 minutes by tram will take you to the centre and the airport. Highly recommended.

I am not going to bother you with the details (excellent location, clean rooms, comfortable beds, etc.) but I will tell you why this is a very special place for anyone to chose:
1) Wouter and Zu are professionals when it comes to BB: not a spec of dust on arrival or during our stay;
2) Breakfast is better than they describe: we have made our own oatmeal, scrambled eggs, tasty yogurt, unlimited coffee. Also, gevulde koek could be served every morning if you get to know the hosts or simply ask them. (That alone can make you come back to Amsterdam again and again).
3) Social evenings (with adult beverages) were fantastic. I learned about Dutch culture, traditions and language from the experts. There is still so much to learn.
4) Our group needed special taxi service. Wouter was able to call and negotiate with the taxi company at 11:59PM and make it happen. (Hint: dedication!)
5) We rented a boat for our group social (www.boaty.nl) and we had the best captain you can have. Unfortunately, Wouter did not want to wear Dutch/Hawaian garland.

All in all - this was the best BB experience and I would not want to stay anywhere else in Amsterdam.

Room Tip: The room in 'red' is slightly bigger than the one in 'brown'.

This Bed and Breakfast is realy wonderfull. You can compare the rooms and services with a 3 or 4 stars hotel and prices are compared to other B&B's very resonable. The owners (Wouter en Zu) are very hospitable. The rooms are very clean, nice decorated and good beds. The distance to the center is about 10 minutes by public transport. Or you can have a nice walk trough the Vondelpark to the center (about 20 minutes). When we visit Amsterdam again, we certainly will stay here again.

We have just got back from 7 nights in this fabulous B&B and the glories of Amsterdam.
The rooms are spacious warm (you control the heating settings yourself), very comfortable, very clean and very well appointed. The bed was comfortable and our linen was changed part way throughout the week. The bathroom has a large walk in shower, plenty of towels and good quality toiletries.
Instead of going to a dining area for breakfast you have a small kitchenette well equipped with kettle, hob, microwave, fridge (stashed full of milk, eggs, cheese, juice etc), pots, pans cutlery etc. Fresh bread is left outside your door each morning. This means there are no restrictions on when you have breakfast and you can cater for yourself if you don't want to go out to eat. Supplies are topped up regularly and generously throughout your stay.
Wouter and Zu the owners are very friendly and helpful and are available to give info on visiting the city and getting about. They also loan out a public transport chip card (similar to London's Oyster) which when loaded at the tourist office gives a massive discount on trams and buses. There is also a good selection of guide books and information on Amsterdam available in the hall.
A 20 minute walk across the Vondelpark gets you to the museums, another 10-15 minutes and you are right in the city centre. The tram stop is a 2 minute walk down the road with trams every 5 minutes into town when you don't feel like walking. It is only a 15 minute train and tram journey from Schiphol but the area is quiet and peaceful and there is no noise at night.
Wouter and Zu provide a lovely comfortable place to stay and warm welcome that represents excellent value for money.

We stayed there for one week for exploring Amsterdam and the villages of Noord-Holland.

From Schiphol it is only one station by train and two station by tram with smooth connections -and you are there .
The tram station is two minutes by foot from the B&B and it brings you to the center in 15 minutes. In couple of times we made it totally by foot- nice walk through the park to the center lasts 30-45 min. Two days we traveled by bikes- this is the best way to enjoy the city-we did not feel the distance at all.

The room is a basement suite in a townhouse, located in a quiet area, equipped with all you need even for long stay- fridge, stove, microwave, electric kettle, espresso machine etc.Breakfast was not included but the hosts provided essential products (eggs, cheese, ham, jams etc were in the fridge) and fresh buns(every morning) on our doorstep.

The room is designed with an elegant taste with nice bathroom, comfy bed and nice furniture. It provided us really good rest after full day of wondering around. The cleanliness was impeccable. The in-floor heating made the room cozy and warm.
The hosts were helpful and caring

Great stay!!!!

Room Tip: If you need an abundance of sunlight for your well-being may this room is not the best choice for yo...
