Just come back from a lovely (but very wet) weekend in Amsterdam with my partner, where we stayed at this delightful hotel. Location is perfect, around a 15 minute walk from Dam Square, or a 5-10 min tram ride (stops right in front of hotel). Just far out enough to escape the hustle and bustle but near enough to enjoy a pleasant walk into Central Amsterdam. 5 mins from Utrechsestraat, which has lovely small boutique style shops and an array of wonderful restaurants.
Staff in the hotel were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and were exceptionally polite, without exception.
Room was bright and modern, with all necessary amenities. Bathroom was stylish and modern too. My only gripe would be the door to the bathroom - it didn't close properly, had no lock and had an approx, 1 inch gap running all around it. Give me a fitted lockable bathroom door any day!
Other than that, no complaints whatsoever - would highly recommend.

Room Tip: had a lovely bright sunny corner room on the 2nd floor - trams running past were a little noisy, alt...

This boutique hotel is small and cozy, just by a canal. The reception is tiny, but well decorated. The staff is very friendly and kind. The rooms are spacious and the decoration is very modern. The bathrooms are small but beautiful, and the shower is very good. All room commands (lights, air conditioner, room cleaning) were digital, in a small lcd screen near the bed and the door. There is a coffee machine with complimentary coffee in the room and an iron as well. We got a good deal on the hotel's website and our package included continental breakfast, that was great! There is a tram stop in front of the hotel, whitch was very convenient because we could go everywhere. If you are arriving from Centraal Amsterdam, take trams 4 or 25 and you will get to the hotel. It is near Heineken Experience, a bunch of nice bars and a 15 minutes walk from Rembrandtplein, Museumplein and Anne Frank House (the is no way better to discover Amsterdam than walking!). It is two bocks from albert cuypmarkt, a street market that you cannot miss. Hotel restaurant is ok. Highly recommended!

Stayed 4 nights here in a double deluxe room on the first floor facing the street. The room was spacious with high ceilings and nicely furnished. Bathroom was big too. There are tram stations just steps away, so it's very convenient. But because of that, we heard the trams at night (the only reason why I didn't give 5 stars). The upper floors might be more quiet, but I'm not sure. The front desk lady was very helpful and friendly. Had dinner once in the restaurant and the vegetarian ravioli was quite good. If you have breakfast after 10am, they have a continental breakfast for 9.50 euros as opposed to the buffet. Or you can just use the free Nespresso machine in your room. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from the trams

Great boutique hotel with modern amenities. On a nice canal out of the noisy core but on great tram connections. Staff are great, nice comfortable bar with outdoor seating on the canal. A couple blocks from one of the city's best markets.

Room Tip: Ask for canal view

Spent 2 nights here in October 2012. It is conveniently located for visiting the museum district and to enjoy the nightlife around Leidseplein. My room was nice, large and comfortable, the hotel is relatively small and has a cozy atmosphere. Staff is young and very friendly. It is very easily accessible from the Central Railway Station by the trams that stop literally on the hotel's doorstep.

On the negative side: the breakfast was not particularly good: you can get better food for less euros in the cafes along the canals.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room, they seem to have more space.

Recently stayed for three nights at this amazing boutique hotel.

My room was beautiful with lovely decor and furniture, including a free Nespresso machine, King Size bed, HD Tv (and HD channels inc BBC1 and Sport), with digitally controlled lighting and air con.

The bathroom was large with a great walk-in shower, large bath and lovely designed sink.

The staff were brilliant - speaking exquisite english - ironic seeing as hotels in the UK hire non-english speaking staff these days.

In terms of location it was great too - easy tram and metro access, and only 2 minute walk onto an excellent shopping street with boutique shops and cafes - plus the countries best pattisserie - Kuyt.

I did sample the food in the brasserie - the menu seemed quite simple and is probably only there to cater for business trips as it wasnt busy, especially considering there's loads of nearby restaurants that were all packed!

My only complaint.....lack of free biscuits with the coffee machine!!!

In terms of value for money, my weekend trip cost around £700 for both us and think it was a pretty even split for flight and hotel - so I will most definitely stay here again at this price.
