We ate here on our last night and i must say we were very impressed. The level of service and attention to detail was really great and the waiters made us feel welcome and interacted with us in a casual and friendly way that made us laugh and smile though out the whole meal. The best way to describe it was like eating at an old friends house.

Once greeted we were asked if we wanted to sit in or outside, where we opted for an outside seating on the little square that they share with the neighboring Italian restaurant. We were taken through the specials and drinks options while the waiter offered us some personal recommendations that were not shown on the menu at the time. We opted for cocktails and 3 portions of the home made paella with a mixed Spanish platter to start!

The drinks arrived quickly and were made to perfection, the alcohol leaned towards the heavy side but were none the less enjoyable. the platter was larger than we thought and we were glad it was between 3 of us other wise i think it would have sufficed as a single meal on its own. It was overflowing with fresh cured meats, Spanish sausage, olives, warm bread, humus, dips, hams and cheese all there to tantalize and make your mouth water at the sight of it. The good news is that t tasted as good as it looked! This mixed with the calm surroundings, cocktails and Spanish music playing in the background made you feel as if you could be in a secluded tapas bar in the heart of Seville!

Our main meals arrived in good time , although the starter plates were cleared away a little to quickly as we would liked to have kept them as extra space to put the shells and prawn skins on from the paella, as the ones provided filled up rather quickly, but this is a minor point. The food itself was very good, a little overcooked maybe but this was not a problem as the flavors all came in to play still and the textures were all correct! The portion size was perfect being not to large and not to small either, and managing to fill you up with out over bloating you, in fact considering the quantities we ate we were surprised that we did not feel stuffed which i think is a testament to the cooking and the quality of the food served.

We finally opted for desserts in the form of pancakes and although there was some confusion over mine, strawberries being confused for bacon, they were quite simply the best pancakes we had eaten all trip! Although there was a mix up we didn't mind as the problem was identified and the staff were friendly and apologetic about it and knocked it off our bill at the end!

Highlights and plus points:

Great service
Great location
Spanish flare
Good food and a good choice of menu options
Cocktails
comfy seats and large tables
Good size portions
Friendly and welcoming staff

Negative points:

Slightly to quick on service
Very strong drinks

Overall this was a great place to go and eat and we really enjoyed our meal here! It has it all and although it may not be the cheapest place around it certainly is deserved due to the attention and fantastic service the staff provide!

Stopped here today for a light snack. It was very busy as the sun was shining but we were lucky to find the last table for 2. Service was very slow. However, it was busy, it was lovely to get a seat in the sun so we didn't care, and the waiter was lovely. He apologized for the long wait and was trying his best to make up for that. We ordered sangria and bruschetta. It took a while, but the bruschetta was yummy. The Sangria was nice but not as cold as I would have liked. I wouldn't recommend it if you were out for a proper evening meal, but for a little respite from sightseeing, it really was a nice place to stop. The staff more than made up for the slow service.

Not quite sure why L'amour is getting all the negativity here - maybe we went on a really good day?!

We spent a sunny couple of hours in the outdoor seating area outside the restaurant. We ordered an avocado salad and a selection of tapas (patatas bravas, mussels, king prawns, garlic bread with tomato salsa and some marinated roasted vegetables), along with some fruit juice.

The food was really delicious, all of it - very generous portions, fresh ingredients, lots of colour and flavour. Service was friendly and prompt, and although the food took a while to arrive, it wasn't tardy - just what you'd expect for a range of fresh food.

We were considering staying for coffee and desserts but we were just too podged by the time we finished eating. Saw other people enjoying hot drinks and ciggies there, though, which seems to suggest it's not bad for that either!

I'd happily go back, for what it's worth - and I'm vegetarian and notoriously prone to food poisoning! No complaints here at all.
