I secured a reservation with the Toren after being badly let down by 717 (two days before Christmas!) for a 7/8th January booking made and paid for in November.
An initial 'phone call, after searching through Trip Advisor, was handled brilliantly by the reception staff who guided me through the website to show images of the available rooms, feeling slightly silly, as we've been married for 17 years, I booked the Bridal Suite for my husband's birthday weekend.
The suite is baroque in style and during a chilly weekend provided a snug nest for exploring the city, everything is just a short walk away.
Staff are friendly and helpful but very professional - we had a couple of minor issues with the movie channel and our shower which were resolved within minutes and on checking out we were pleasantly surprised to be given an unasked for discount to compensate for this.
Reservations were secured as requested to two top Amsterdam restaurants, Envy and Christophe and the icing on the (birthday) cake was a bottle of chilled champagne waiting in the suite on Saturday afternoon when we returned from shopping as a gift for my husband.
Only one niggle...... In this age of technology, at a modern, well run, fabulously staffed, frankly gorgeous hotel why isn't there a free wifi set up for guest use in their rooms? I know it's available in the lounge but I didn't want to have to get dressed and trot down the road.... Everywhere else in Amsterdam from coffee shop to airport seems to do it so come on Mr Toren make your hotel absolutely perfect.

We stayed for a weekend break in December and booked one of the larger rooms with a jacuzzi. Both the room and the hotel itself were absolutely stunning and the location perfect for exploring Amsterdam.

The extreme weather and heavy snow did cause some hiccups with the breakfast service the first morning of our stay, however the management took our comments very seriously and went far out of their way to resolve matters.

The staff at the front desk were all excellent and very friendly too.

All in all, I'd have no hesitation in recommending the Toren to anyone. It's a great hotel, run to an exceptional standard.

This superb hotel is everything the reviews say - elegant, opulant, friendly, comfortable, peaceful but just a stroll from the centre. Now we have discovered this hotel we don't want to stay anywhere else in Amsterdam.

I greatly enjoyed my stay at The Toren this past fall. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations and suggestions . The room (and the view!) were delightful. The downstairs bar area was a fabulous but cozy place for a glass of wine or breakfast coffee.

This hotel is in the centre of Amsterdam, a perfect location for wherevever you want to visit whether walking or a short tram ride. The first impression of the hotel is of a large town house, when you walk in you are immediately greeted to a warm friendly atmosphere. I can only speak for the main hotel building ( as I believe the hotel does have an annex a couple of buildings away) but after checking in, the room (Junior Suite)met all expectations, from fittings, spa bath, to the underfloor heating in the bathroom. The bar ( which is the breakfast area as well) is a wonderful relaxing area after an afternoon / evening exploring the city.

We had a 2 night layover in Amsterdam after traveling three weeks in Kenya and wanted a place that would be restful, romantic and provide easy access to museums and the delights of Amsterdam. Incredible! The Toren was an easy 5 minute cab ride from Central Station (we took the train from the airport -- also very easy), we were warmly welcomed, served like royalty at the front desk, in the cozy bar, by the bellman in our room set up, at breakfast (which is delicious, varied and more than anyone could want) and by all the staff who made sure we found we our way to all the sights we wanted, excellent meals and locations for dinner within walking distance and, what else can we say. We will be back! You won't be disappointed staying at The Toren and you are likely to be delighted.

Location is very good. It is on a quiet street in a very nice part of town and yet very centrally located , so that you can walk everywhere.
The staff was very very friendly and our room had everything one needs when traveling,I.e robe slippers ,nespresso coffee etc. Really we were very satisfied.
