The best nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel, comfy bed and quiet! Staff really helpful and booked in on arrival late morning. Looking forward to next time when visiting Amsterdam. 10 ** coffee machine in foyer :)

Our family of 6, stayed at this lovely hotel in the begining of March. I can not say enough about the location of the hotel, the hospitality of the staff and the cute quirky rooms.
It is in a perfect location within one or two blocks to all the sights and shopping. It is on the Single Canal, so the main walking street with shopping is behind the hotel 2 blocks. The flower market is on the Single canal, 2 bridges down, if you would go 2 canals in front of the hotel you would be at the Anne Frank house. Dam square is another 2 blocks the other way.

The breakfast is superb, definitely purchase it with the room. The breakfast room is so pleasant to wake up to on a rainy Amsterdam morning. It has everything you could want, they even have a sort of salad/fruit bar for the vegan traveler. Its even better for the kids! nutella, chocolate sprinkles, breakfast cereals, cakes, crossiants, chocolate milk and hot chocolate, they will even make them a grilled cheese sandwich.

All the rooms are different and have a hip antique vibe to them, think big flowered wall paper with some fun antiques. The bathrooms are all new, with L'Occitaine products and heated floors. Some rooms have jacuzzis as well.

The staff at the front desk are very helpful and hand out directions and maps galore.

My secret tip, the little street directly to the left of the hotel has THE BEST CHOCOLATE TART IN ALL OF AMSTERDAM! and fantastic quiches and small bites, its call "Le Chef" and is so reasonable, just go, if not just for the chocolate tart, we even brought one back to our country! and there is a greek take away/cafe next to the hotel that is great to just bring something back to the room at night.

Room Tip: family room 300 and 304 have jacuzzi's and are on the inner courtyard and are quiet.

A great place to stay in Amsterdam, close to all places of interest, very special furnitures and decoration. Only one problem, when we arrive the bed cover was dirty and personal changed quickly, but all accomadaion, breakfast and service was excellent.

Located in an alley along the canal, we reserve in this hotel, and we do not have been disappointed, I would say even pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, decoration simply beautiful, home to the very friendly and profesionelle reception, room breakfast was like the rest. the rooms are comfortable with a well-appointed antique furniture, one small drawback that must be due to the oldest of the building is a bit noisy (careful not to the point of damaging the rest of the customers) but still they deserve to 'be a little more soundproof. if you put earplugs for people who have slight sleep, you sleep very well. Excellent geographical location in the city center

Our family had a wonderful experience at Hotel Estherea. We had the family room that faced out to the Singel Canal. Each room is different and we look forward to trying another on our next visit. Very quiet and quaint. Lovely lobby, bar and restaurant for breakfast. We really enjoyed the complimentary coffee and cookies. We were there during Valentines and the decorations were gorgeous.

Hotel Estherea - we stayed with our two young children and were made very welcome. The staff were friendly and professional, the room was simply gorgeous and the location perfect. The Jordaan and '9 streets' area are directly opposite and wonderful to explore. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.
