This lovely boutique hotel is charming and perfectly located for walking everywhere in central Amsterdam. Many restaurants and shops are close by, and it sits on the beautiful Singel Canal. Dam Square is only a few minute's walk away.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Estherea. The rooms were comfortable and charming...not big, but so smartly planned that we didn't feel cramped. Little details made the hotel especially memorable; for example, there was complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in to-go cups all day, as well as chocolates. There are little nooks built in to the furniture next to the bedsides with outlets, perfect spot for storing books, glasses of water, and charging phones. Lovely, spacious bathrooms. The staff was very helpful, too. The location was great, very easy to walk most places from there. We are a family of five (kids age13,11, and 8), and everyone loved the hotel.

Fabulous small hotel located in the best part of the city. We were upgraded to a street view from a courtyard view which was lovely as the courtyard does not have a good view. We had room 303 and the double glazing kept out the noise of any street activity below. Cafés and shops in street behind hotel and others very close by.
Areas on ground floor for reading or drinking the complementary tea and coffee in the foyer. We took ours up to our room as well. Did not try the restaurant as wanted to experience the local ones.
So many activities to do in this beautiful city. Lots of brochures in the foyer and complamentary map of the city. Canal cruise office just a few doors down.
Lovely toiletries in bathroom. Hotel had lots of chandeliers, a restaurant, a bar a library area and a lounge area but retains the small hotel feel. Would absolutely recommend this hotel if the price is within your budget.
We took the 197 bus from the airport then caught a taxi to the hotel which was a few minutes away as it was raining. Taxis at end of bus line. Only cost 5 Euro for bus and 7 Euro for taxi.

Room Tip: Street or canal view would be best but if not you can sit in the lovely rooms down stairs

Decided to stay at Estherea again, but this time for 3 nights. What a great hotel. There is great attention to detail. Staff is friendly, very helpful, always ready and our room was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the extensive variety breakfast and after a day of shopping and visiting the Rijksmuseum or Van Gogh this hotel just feels like coming home where you can sit at the bar for an evening drink or cocktail.

We recently stayed in this hotel while in Amsterdam and it was wonderful! The hotel was beautiful, very Dutch. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The location was central and we could walk anywhere around the city. The room was small, but so are most quaint European hotel rooms. The view from our room overlooked the canal! There were several excellent, well-known places to eat right around the corner. We would definitely go back again in the future! Not a good place for big families....

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the canal!

Hotel Estherea was the perfect place for our visit to Amsterdam. It is within easy walking distance to almost everything to see and do, with a tram stop also nearby. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, with friendly and helpful staff and modern amenities. Located right on Singel canal in a quiet section with busier areas within a block, in the beautiful Jordaan section of the city. We highly recommend Hotel Estherea and would not hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel is located in the centre of Amsterdam. I booked this hotel through a special that included having a bottle of prosecco on the room. When we arrived the Front Desk clerk informed us that the bottle was not on the room yet but that we could order it by using the telephone on the room. He also informed us that there bottles of water that we could use (no extra charge). We found however those were missing but when we went to the bar to ask if we might have overlooked it, the bartender immediately got us some bottles which we thought was extremely kind of him. The staff is extremely kind overall which is a big plus.
The room we got was, I think, one of the more ''simpler'' rooms. For American terms it might be considerd small (which my American friend thought it was) however I thought it was big enough. The bathroom is really nicely done. Might be a little small to fit 2 people in but still I thought it was very nice.
The breakfast was amazing. So many options and so many things you could eat. My friend and I were both blown away by it. I think we sat down for breakfast for 1,5 hour to simply try everything.
Loved the hotel! Might be a little on the expensive side but I do have to say that it is simply amazing.
